tor exit

I just rolled an exit that was derezzed on Lainchan so I couldn't post. Would be nice to have Tor exit bans automatically expire after some hours or a couple of days, if that's not too difficult to implement. The ban was from 2021.

Did you happen to have the ip? I can take care of it if you do. We try to avoid banning tor nodes, but sometimes it happens.

>>11706 Unfortunately not, I immediately got a new identity after realising it. Since all Tor exits IP addresses are public, wouldn't it be possible to automatically and periodically remove these bans? If it isn't too much of a hassle.

>>11707 It is possible, but not feasible because of the amount of abuse on these IPs, that is why they are currently manually underezzed on request. Generally we set expiring bans on TOR exit notes, but occasionally a TOR exit node is used for board flooding or Rule 8 violation which results a total ban that needs to be appealed.

>>11708 Interesting, so that means that usual abusers are using custom configs on Tor in order to get only these (presumably) high speed/stable exit nodes? If not, I'm curious as to why some nodes are more often used for abuse than others.

>>11705 The ban you mentioned has been manually cleared via ban appeals.
