What IRC client(s) do you recommend for the irc lainchan org server? The built in browser client on the IRC page works, but I live in a third world setup and my wi fi goes on and off. The built in browser client does not allow for reconnects and when I try to reconnect, I have to manually enter all of my info again, so it is not ideal with my current country setup.

Have you tried HexChat? It is a pretty reputable and usable GUI client, supports proxying and fully supports torsocks/proxychains if you distrust the internal proxy support.
If you want a CLI client, try irssi or weechat.

Whenever I tried to install HexChat from their exe, I get this message. I don't even know how to begin with irssi and weechat, because frankly, I am pretty soykaf at using programs that are not installed through exe, zip, or rar. I tried to open the files in weechat with WinRar, then extract them to a folder, but then I was completely lost on what to do next, because this computer only runs Windows 7 because again, third world internet, third world computers, and our currency and salary are soykaf. I could try to connect through my iOS, but I am not on my mobile much.

I use GNU Emacs with ERC. It's easy enough to install under Windows, and Emacs is easy to customize.
