They're an eyesore. I type in one word and the chan filters it to a fuarrrkhuge phrase and makes my post look absolutely ridiculous. Someone should write a script that reverses this filtering process.

I like the language enhancer, I feel it gives a personality to the place. The whales one really ought to be changed though, as it does break the flow of the sentence. It's not censorship and doesn't go against free speech since the original word and intent is always clear from context. It might be indicative of an agenda against slur, but I'm fine with it.

I'm okay with $hit and fck being word-filtered, but why do god's chosen people get special treatment?

If the word​filters bother you, a zero-width space can be inserted somewhere in the word. A userscript to do that would probably be trivial. (unicode sure is nice isn't it) sh​itposting dumbfu​ck :^​) etc. I don't mind the "sh​it" and "fu​ck" language enhancers because in my opinion they give the site a unique feel, but just a note for people looking to bypass them in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
