lainchan / q
Pronography and its textual representations are still a problem
Molly Millions · 2017-09-30 05:49
After countless rational debate in https://lainchan.org/q/res/4958.html, we still have lainons rights being violated by being forced to view pornography in its various forms. Here, in the screenshot, we have a prime example of the type of rape-culture #lainchan is promoting, specifically crash_override. Instead of being isolated to #lewd or being derezzed entirely, which we have a large supporting for, it's being laughed at and supported. Cheers even. As if this is just mere banter.
How can any third party respect us if they saw this brash behavior? Any outsider, with clear and fresh eyes, as close as to being objective as one can, would see this culture as putrid and shameful and as obstructing to serious conversation within a porn-free environment. This is not just about porn, even more than that it's about what Lainchan could become, should become.
Time and time again, this /me behavior terrifies me, as I know very well some of these nicks are under 18, thus promoting underage activities. Not cp, no, but close to something far worse. Some of us more mature lainons would like this to stop, those of us that work (and who use the irc at work, another issue with #lainchan showing porn) and have families. We'd like lainchan to mature as well.
With that said, crash_override must go.
- A lainon who cares.

Hello, it is me, muskox. I approve of crash_override drizzling his cum into my coffee whenever he wishes. (yummy)
Also, there is a non-lewd general chat, #general. The differences between them are more nuanced than just lewd and non lewd, but the general sort of attitude of "this chat has things i don't like" can be solved by moving to #general. #general has less use, of course, because it turns out banning things makes the chat more boring.

Please stop bringing irc soykaf to the board.
Thanks.

If you don't like it you can hide it, the IRC server is a lainchan service and this is the proper place to discuss potential issues with it.

Quoting appleman "IRC drama doesn't belong on the imageboard"

There is #questions on the irc, so fuarrrk off there and stop bringing this soykaf here.

raXa, you have admitted to having been molested as a child. I realize that you are a deeply traumatized person. But what you should do if you cannot tolerate this environment is to just leave and not come back.
If you truly have these issues then you should under no circumstances expose yourself to this environment and I think the therapist you have implied regularly visiting would agree. There are harder men than you living out in the forest because their PTSD makes them unable to enter urban environments without getting panic attacks.
You cannot change or even influence the culture of this site. It will not happen. Please stop hurting yourself.

>same completely "I have never been on the internet before shield my eyes" behavior as raXa
If it quacks like a duck...

if you want lainchan, but without crashoverride, go to arisuchan. they literally derezzed him on day one.
i love both sites, but god damn the lainchan irc is toxic as fuarrrk. it is utterly insufferable.
i wish they would just change the name of the irc or close it down. it just brings more drama to the boards and makes us look bad.
Cutter · 2017-10-01 12:02
Seph stirring soykaf again, colour me surprised.
How much are you going to bet that this raXa person doesn't even exist?

Why don't we just delete /q/? I mean the one and only person that criticizes the site is Seph and she's not from here anymore so the board no longer serves any purpose, right?

Because it is obviously not just her (if it includes her at all).
Frank Garza · 2017-10-03 11:13
Reminds me of this old one:
Everyone I don't like is a pedo and a .jp/arisuchan user.
Dozer · 2017-10-03 12:12
>>5025
raXa is real.
>>5029
Yep and everyone knows it. We're at the point where I distrust the people who want to make out that everything is .jp people more than I distrust the complaints. At the very least it's more disruptive.
>>5021
If you're talking about the person who "admitted" (it's not a crime, nor anything to be ashamed of) this in the last thread, that was not raXa. That was me.
Back to the subject of the thread. Erp (erotic roleplay) is fine. If you absolutely can't bear to see it then stick to #general but don't make out that it's going to suddenly destroy us when we've been doing it for years or even that the rest of society would frown on such things in 2017 (pro-tip: everyone is a horny fuarrrker) or that the culture in the IRC has a great effect on the board culture or is under any sort of onus to conform to it.
Also, incase you're unaware, there are rules against non-consensual erp. If muskox wasn't fine with what happened it would have been a problem.
And that really sums the whole thing up. Crash and muskox were having some mutual fun and we're supposed to believe that this is somehow a problem because an imaginary "third party" will see it as a problem? So far, we have exactly raXa complaining. I'd have more sympathy if he wasn't a lying dick who likes to shout about CP in order to get his way. He pretty much directly said he was going to try and extort us into changing the rules by constantly making threads like this where he accused people of being pedos because fuarrrk the truth he has his puritan agenda to push. It's not gonna work raXa, give it up.

While I'm not saying that this thread ISN'T seph running another psyop, it's dangerous to combat any criticism of the site with "oh just another ploy by seph". Appleman1234 could have set up seph and arisuch as puppets to quiet criticisms against the chan he bought for mysterious reasons, and we'd be playing right into his golden delicious hands.
The correct thing to do is to identify whether or not the issue @ topic is an issue regardless of the person who brought it up in the first place, and act accordingly. Anonymous imageboards have the disadvantage of not knowing whether any particular poster is genuine because there's no reputation at stake, but they also have the *advantage* of not *needing* to know whether anyone is genuine. If the issue in the OP is an issue, it's an issue.
S1ohy · 2017-10-05 00:29
For anyone who isn't aware: This was my (S1ohy) soykafpost, specifically the OP. I'm not seph or raXa, but took inspiration from the latter's original porn/cp/iamthedarkknight thread.
This was amusing.

Word. I mean the idea that they could be puppets is a little absurd but idea of worrying about the message, not the messenger is very true.
At the same time I'd bet my house that the only person with an interest in talking about Seph is Seph.

Amusing? It was? Well, ok then but why?
