Account reinstatement

Lisp · 2017-04-11 21:22
The sticky is almost full, anyways. Appleman1234, I've already told you one of my old Lainchan passwords over the wire, when having you reset it for me. It should be in your PM backlog. If you'd do that, it would be appreciated. I can then reset it. It's rather unacceptable how Freenode treats Tor users. I mostly make this fuss as I'd rather the first post in /λ/ and /sec/ be the new stickies and I need permissions in order to do this reasonably.
Lisp · 2017-04-11 21:25
Also, I suppose, let anyone wanting to become staff post here. This can behave as a filter from the rather hectic sticky, perhaps.

>>544 Appleman has gone to sleep now. I can recreate your account with a temporary password if you talk to me on irc (freenode or lainchan).
Terzibashjian · 2017-04-11 21:45
The lainchan IRC is still down, by my observation. I'm trying to connect to lainchan.org on port 6697.
barrucadu · 2017-04-11 21:49
>>557 It should be working, I'm able to connect, and there are others in the channels there. There are no services yet, but the ircd is up.
Lisp · 2017-04-11 22:01
>>560 I'm still told my connection is refused.
Lisp · 2017-04-11 22:33
Could it be that the IRC is rejecting Tor connections?
Lisp · 2017-04-11 22:39
If you would, barrucadu, simply set my staff password to the last private message I sent to you; it was two words separated by a space with a punctuation character at the end. You may as well leave the case as it was.
barrucadu · 2017-04-11 22:43
Unfortunately, I didn't keep the buffer open, and I don't keep logs, so I don't have that last message. No new boards will be created before Appleman wakes up, and I've sent him a message about your connection problems, so hopefully everything will be resolved later.
Lisp · 2017-04-11 22:54
>>592 How about this: Do you recall that word I used somewhat frequently that kalyx disliked? He had the slackbot chastise me every time it was used. Simply set my password to that, then.
Lisp · 2017-04-11 23:00
Perhaps, better would be the bot's response, all lowercase and without punctuation, but with the spaces.
barrucadu · 2017-04-11 23:06
>>603 Done.
Lisp · 2017-04-11 23:09
It's appreciated, barrucadu. I've now changed my password. To reasonably verify myself, you told me that you were looking forward to my future developments in our last discussion.
Lisp · 2017-04-11 23:15
While you're at it, make me an administrator. Everyone else currently is.
barrucadu · 2017-04-11 23:19
I'd rather leave rearranging permissions to Appleman.
Lisp · 2017-04-11 23:21
You wound me.
Lisp · 2017-04-11 23:54
So, how many hours would you say Appleman1234 has had to sleep, so far?
kashire · 2017-04-12 00:07
>>628 ~ 3 hours ago or so.
Lisp · 2017-04-12 00:19
>>631 I'm going to start preparing threads in /test/ so they can be used or moved over when the boards return. As an example, I'll prepare the /λ/ and /sec/ sticky. I don't expect /sec/ to return soon, but that's not true of /λ/. If the board's made and I'm not around or can't otherwise give input, the thread can still be moved over. I would prefer for any stickies to be the first post in the respective boards.
kashire · 2017-04-12 00:25
>>635 Sounds good. I will make sure to move it over if I'm on and you're not.
