Velvet Underground and Nico

What do you think about it?

Overrated. The second album, without Nico, is better. The third is better again.

This album constantly switches between mellow stuff and noiser stuff, which means I don't typically listen to it often. It makes more sense to put on the follow-up when I want something noisy, and the third album when I want something mellow.

It's perfect. One of the few God-records in my opinion. Nico adds so much to the sound and tone.

>>9568 It's such a powerful album, to kind of "understand" it (although is not that deep) you have to think about the context this album was released on, they really didn't have anything like it.

>>9568 This album and Loaded are two of my favorite albums of all time. Takes far longer to get into this one, but it’s far more rewarding when it clicks. Pure kino.

>>9568 I like it, but I greatly prefers Nico's solo albums.

>>9568 It's just my favourite album. I stopped listening to Pink Floyd because of it. It has so many experimental guitar sounds that I, as a guitarist, really appreciate. It radically changed my guitar playing style, and also changed my sight on music. I was looking for that kind of music and when I found this album, this was kind of enlightenment to me and my thirst for experimental music. About the album itself: you should listen to it before you die. This is really wonderful album, and you couldn't find something similar to it even now. But you may not like it, I believe.

The banana has too much browning. I don't want to eat it.

on of my favorite albums of all time

>>9790 The Marble Index is absolutely incredible, and she should have gotten way more recognition for it than she did. Chelsea Girl was meh, although the Jackson Brown songs on it are good
