City-Pop has become plenty famous recently alongside more modern J-Pop, however, I feel like most people are missing the better in some aspects in between child.
Here's the album I've been listening to recently:

Other prominent artists include Pizzicate Five, Flipper's Guitar, Cornelius and Metafive. Give them a listen or search for a shibuya-kei compilation, it ought to be good.
Picopop, akiba-kei, akishibu-kei and other j-indie are also welcome
Here's my citypop recommendation:

would future funk be considered a derivative of city-pop?
A lot of songs sample city pop, and it has the same feel.
here's a good future funk song
skibblez - sky romance

of course
shibuya-kei, for example, thrives on samples.
That song is a little too hard on the beat, but great song nonetheless, lain!

I really like the first album you shared, it's great for focusing or relaxing. I'll give the second one a listen too.
Here's another future funk song, one of my personal favorites.
