Peak punk vocals are middle aged men. The further you stray, the less angry it is and anger is quality.

I'm ok with it, recently discovered this album and have been enjoying it:

X-Ray Spex.
Polly was the greatest. Tip: get the 'Germ Free Adolescents' demos.

Some female vocals are good, but I feel like some female punk artists try too hard to make what I would call punk-pop. I do think that some female metal vocalists sound pretty good. I especially like Maria Brink, who is the lead vocalist of the group in this moment.
I have seen her in concert a few times and she puts a lot of emotion and anger into her music. She still performs in her 40s, but she got pregnant at 15 and had a rough life which is reflected well in her music. Some of her music is pretty edgy. Not sure if that qualifies as punk-esque though.

Its hard to find that with a lot of female vocalists unfortunately.

Have you never heard Nausea, Antischism, Initial State, Ⓐ.P.P.L.Ⓔ., Punch, or the Despise You stuff when they had dual vocals? A lot of the Profane Existence bands had female singers too, actually a lot of crust/anarcho whatever bands in general. Female singers in metal are often used as a gimmick or because she looks good in a corset and elbow-length gloves.

I can't possibly remember all the crust/punk bands with female vocals I know, but have a few of my favorites

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAyqhfp0W1k - this one is more post-hardcore/screamo-ish but very enjoyable if you like progression
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f50UG7kKmM0 - grindcore
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4puf3mvPIk4 - screamo

I love it when women do vocals with a man for contrast. These are both skramz:

this one's mixing is horrible but i think the contrast between the vocals is great. It gives the female and almost angelic quality.

listen to mortality rate, the new harmony, crave death, slant (hardcore/punk), mildrage, dying wish (metalcore), self deconstruction(grindcore), broken by the scream (idol metal), passcode (idol electronicore), piri reis(powerviolence), sanity slip(beatdown), midori(jazz punk)
girls in punk is awesome, defining bands by them being female fronted is kinda dumb imo but having diverse people in music scenes helps to make the music more diverse which is always a good thing in my book

Oathbreaker is one of my fav bands.

having to add unnecessary words to a perfectly fine two-word quality post is annoying and pointless. I have never in my life seen a short post and thought "this really needs to be a complete sentence"
