What do y'all think of "I Hate Models"? I've heard some people saying that he's too trance-like, and that they like their techno to be more minimal/less melodic. I however think it's a great middle ground. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6EjUIefwiw

Did anyone have the industrial techno thread >>6109 saved? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2qaQLKkVDA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2KJkXtA8ek

>>8389 Friend went to an event where IHATEMODELS played after SNTS. Honesly they fuarrrked the lineup cause he played lower bpm tracks after an amazing set by SNTS, im blaming the organisers on this one. But also, you have to be an idiot to go after SNTS and play lower bpm stuff. Killed the vibe. He had great tracks in 2018 -19 but he is a bit overated. I have seen SNTS twice and he is on another level. It is really bad to play after someone and get mogged hard. >>8380 Wtf is this soykaf.

Used to be really into techno, but in the past few years I've just felt that it's really boring. It's all very samey. Still have favourite techno tracks, but hard dance is where it's at

>>8654 Maybe you just haven't heard anything with soul in a while.

modern underground techno/industrial/dark ambient/etc. is definitely way more cyberpunk than synthwave - no question. though it is hard to beat the original standards like skinny puppy, manufacture, spk, front 242, kraftwerk, etc. statiqbloom is nice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hS2X5b4uAOA under black helmet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuwjENIHSks two sided agency: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dp0tBzH_xEY qual is cool, more aggrotech/EBM style: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NlkMitm9xk PC World: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppjPRQZFOtc

Some random soykaf once again.

Lately, I've been more getting into microhouse and minimal tech. Sometimes melodies are just superfluous in my opinion.
