you're okay with deathstep or only oldschool dubstep

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=380fLpxAv9s I've heard Roni Size mentioned on /music/ a lot and decided to check him out. Anyway, I'm new to this. See if you like it.

You see, the problem is not that this music is like kicking dead whales down the beach, in fact it's innovative and has its own well defined and unique style, but the fact that for most people dubstep is all about >AYOO MAKE SOME NOISE, fuarrrk YEAHH DISTORTED ROBOTIC WUB-WUB-WUB-WUB WANA HEAR DAT SHIT AGAIN? So let's prove the opposite shall we? A brief starting guide to everyone who may like some tracks and just wants more: >old is good, new is kinda bad (new releases are ok to be honest, but they are more dark-ish dubstep I guess, give it a try) >tracks and albums released before 2010 are all absolute bangers (yes they are) >Labels: Digital Mystikz (DMZ also, run by Coki an Mala), TEMPA, Deep Medi, Hyperdub (early) and many MANY others. Dig trough them and look for the artists. >Stop talking dude, I don't fuarrrking care, where's my dubstep? https://youtu.be/R8BhXg1vhIo >V.I.V.E.K - Against the Tide https://youtu.be/ITOjn6zLlho >Kryptic Minds - Code 46 https://youtu.be/4NKfeXXcIKI >Kryptic Minds - Rubberman https://youtu.be/ZHFL_HAkCQo >Skream - Glamma https://youtu.be/MBIteUHr_Cg >Digital Mystikz - Anti War Dub https://youtu.be/AYoPaVV-qk8 >Loefah - Mud https://youtu.be/wvHlv9yT1S0 >Distance - Delight https://youtu.be/ekf9J7uMBA8 >Kromestar - Kalawanji https://youtu.be/QIyBpy8pKjs >Kromestar - Rainy Dayz https://youtu.be/tCrWpNBConc >Tunnidge - Face Melt https://youtu.be/e6LKoktQxVo >Silkie - Head Butt da Deck https://youtu.be/ZNLpPwq74D8 >Kromestar - Vintage https://youtu.be/d-95v9MNlG4 >V.I.V.E.K - Over my head (om unit remix) https://youtu.be/Zf8X7OxIMV4 >V.I.V.E.K - Diablo https://youtu.be/5H3cjhOQBKc >Kryptic Minds - Six degrees https://youtu.be/dVJGjbHimFs >Silkie - Cyber Dub

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xam8mEyZpjo DunesDubstep has a lot of good dubstep with that oldschool style sound, shame the channel hasn't uploaded in 7 years...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppjPRQZFOtc tribal type stuff, which to me is very dystopian, because tribal warfare is how society will be after the collapse

useful tip for some people here: I've started to see dubstep labeled as "deep dubstep" as brostep has taken the name "dubstep" for itself for the most part, so when looking for actual dubstep I recommend searching for "deep dubstep". That being said, Babylon System ft Truth - Babylon War is one of my favorite pieces of dubstep. /watch?v=myuGjxUBoGM

Here's some good tunes I found this year (or last year idk): >Imajika - Stagger https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3Kk7GtXUu0 >LAS - TIC https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Glj4RgDkTnI >Oxossi - Sama https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ac8efQa4xh8 >Commodo - Eldritch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nm7D0KzCfI0 >Kaiju - Fear No One https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3oCVqsHiAU Other than that if you're looking for other UK dubstep tunes, I highly recommend checking out deep medi and duploc. Duploc especially has been trying to represent itself as basically the place for the non-brostep kinda dubstep, but I find that their releases and premieres aer sometimes just a little bit too minimal
