A few days ago I was made aware of an old ongoing internet mystery about a mysterious song that no one knows the band name or title of. I learned about it through this video

I became very obsessed with this mystery after seeing the video. I don't usually use reddit but I broke protocol just to be involved in this mystery and joined /r/themysterioussong, a sub dedicated to finding info on this lost song.
Because of whang's video, way more people are now aware of this mystery and joined in. After more than a decade, we've finally made some big break throughs! We've contacted the DJ from the German radio station that supposedly played the song back in the 80s and he's even now posting on the subreddit to keep us updated with the search. He's also very invested in the mystery as well. He said he's gonna look through a bunch of 80s broadcasts in his backlog of cassette tapes. Aside from that though, someone managed to find a full version of the song, which can be listened to here:

I feel like were so close yet so far to finally putting an end to this mystery! The song itself is just too good to be lost in time. I've unironically been addicted to it and been re-listening to it numerous times!

nah for me the most mysterious anything in the internet is apeonaut, a dude who made a sample-based album but no one knows about him, the only dl link i ever found of him was posted in a sharethread on /mu/ and the rym page of him is pretty barren

Why? It's just another of the vapid songs that we (Italians) made for anime's in 90's. Still, they have a kind of retro feeling and a singer called Cristina D'Avena makes concerts with all her openings...
Our Lupin III version is better than the English one btw

reddit is a decent website if you find the right niche subreddit communities hidden under the bigger mainstream ones.

No but after googling for like 5 seconds it seems the guy used to have a website. Probably came from that
