What music do you listen to while programming?

Burial is a great choice and a masterpiece. To this day no one matched him by far. Shame his newest stuff is just your average ambient. I personally listen to rap recently a lot, been searching the deepest corners of Soundcloud for some fresh stuff. Here's the song I found while writing this post: https://soundcloud.com/jeembx/jeembo-tveth-dead-hotel-prod PS: This thread probably belongs to /music/ more than here

Music, never podcasts. Something relaxing and unintrusive if I need to concentrate and something more upbeat if I already know what I need to do and just need an energy boost to type them characters quick. The former can be ambient, latin american music (Laurindo Almeida, Baden Powell...), some classical (say Bach's cantatas, not the fugues) or what have you. For the latter I'll wage slave my man MASTER BOOT RECORD: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylab7BgasHw&t=89s

Might seem strange, but it keeps me in a good mood

>>3410 I've been listening to a lot of 70s-80s japanese pop while working lately. I am absolutely in love with Taeko Ohnuki's album Mignonne.

Dark ambient usually, or Burzum etc. . I use dark theme on my editor you see.

>>3413 it's industrial hardcore/terrorcore

Mostly stuff that I recently found good, mostly OSTs, ambient. Some stuff that I really like: Boards of Canada, goresoykaf, (some) Aphex Twin, Aes Dana, cYsmix (underrated) and from the OSTs: Age of Mythology, Neotokyo, Rome 2 Total War, Skyrim (the ambient stuff is surprisingly good), GITS SAC + unreleased stuff, Diablo 2, Death Note, Stronghold 1, Mirror's Edge, Hotline Miami 1+2, Koyaanisqatsi, Deus Ex 1, Touhou, Silent Hill 2. Also Cryo Chamber and Casie Mod make very good mixes on YouTube.

>>3409 How can one listen to podcast? I know I would definitely get distracted by it or just completely ignore it

this playlist, literally all I listen to when studying https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dfu6kjPZblE&list=PLkDIan7sXW2hYtHwy5I2yIG5sACqfX_K8 I've listened so much that when the song is about to change, I can prehear (in my mind) how the next one will sound. Also, I've never listened to it all. The most I've went through it is probably 300 songs. I hope I do one day.
