The Art of Playlists

How do you make your playlists? Do you just dump all the songs you like into one list and shuffle it? Do you organize songs by a feeling/time/whatever and shuffle them? Or do you take the effort to make them all flow together? Feel free to post some playlists you think are pretty good

I normally listen a whole album at a time. Sometimes if I feel like listening to a particular song I'll just play it and that can lead me to other songs also. Aside from that, I meant to build a couple of playlists around a theme, like songs for programming, rainy days, ambient stuff, but never got around it.
