Does Lainchan like Pere Ubu?
I personally feel they are one of the most cyberpunk artists out there... even though they are a rock band that formed in 1975. Their first two albums and original EP "Datapanik in the Year Zero" seem particularly relevant. Most of their songs are about how the modern condition drives people to become lonely, and from this loneliness, are driven to insanity. Another theme is how the world becomes more and more connected, yet paradoxically, people become more isolated from the information overload. They're just as forward thinking and strange from a musical perspective, too.
