Stuff like Duster

I'm looking for space rock/slowcore similar to Duster. Any recommendation?

You might dig Fishmans.

bedhead, valium aggelein, slowdive (pygmalion imo is the most duster sounding one)

Codeine

First time hearing about Duster, reminds me of Sunny Day Real Estate a bit (not slowcore, trad emo, but you might dig it).

>>2586 Definitely check out Love, Claire. I've always thought of them as an even mix of the warm lo-fi Duster thing and the somber, slow Bluetile Lounge thing.

love claire, keppler, Seam is one of my favorites but most people don't seem to appreciate them. this e.p is gorgeous https://treejapan.bandcamp.com/album/initial

>>2716 Was going to rec this Damn great album that has been put under the carpet of slowcore

oh, my friend! slow tempo and steady pace can be so sad passionate and gentle. Becaria - Slow (ep) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vk8Fadfwrbs Acetone - Self Titled https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1pATCcD7XI Lowercase - The Going Away Present https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hh9BcuOm3qE Idaho - Year After Year https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnoJF688fuo&list=PL4tlLmQozvX4YxQMlWtA9AhKRmWzKpFuy Rex - C https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_54--DQX_no Sophia - The Infinite Circle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnJ-VdjVEgw&list=PLiN-7mukU_REWuBZ9TlNwbNJ17C7-H_Cx&index=6 Kepler - fuarrrk, Fight, Fail https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Kw9Ls-KkhU Love Claire is essential, Bedhead, Codeine, are fantastic but a bit different from Duster. If you haven't checked out Have a Nice Life, I can't recommend it high enough. Another is a group called Readymade. Oh and definately check out American Analog Set's album, The Golden Band. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAYmv_zn7Jc

Thanks OP for introducing me to such a great band, I had never hear about Duster before.

>>2861 >Acetone - Self Titled >Lowercase - The Going Away Present Really enjoyed these, thanks.

Anybody know what effects or how bands like this get nice heavy tones on their guitar?

melrose has a fairly similar lo-fi sound imo. https://melrosee.bandcamp.com/album/melrose

>>2864 Pleased to hear that! Also thanks to everyone who replied, awesome bands

Not quite as spacey as Duster, but if you like slowcore, Red House Painters and Seam are essential. https://youtu.be/4obWMN3zuKQ https://youtu.be/q3qTNduOILw

>>2586 duster always makes me think >"oh its salvia palth but with distortion" listen to salvia palth

>>3084 >>2927 Low quality stuff and tons of pedals

>>2586

>>2602 >pygmalion imo is the most duster sounding one Then you really should try out I Saw The Sun, it's technically a compilation of demos but it's essentially a complete project of lofi Duster-like Slowdive.

Stalker - Following You to the Beach (2018) >depressive slowcore, inspired by duster https://stalker2006.bandcamp.com/album/following-you-to-the-beach Old Hearts Club - s/t 7' (1997) >post-hardcore https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLaivuY_hOU >>2605 I'd also recommend Codeine. Frigid Stars is a masterpiece. >>2843 Not a huge Seam fan but "Autopilot" is great https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZzhZOEOhKCA
