wanna share music livecoded, that is music made with programming languages algorithmically abstracted, open-source polyrhythms there is algorave movement https://rapo.bandcamp.com/album/computer-love-init-4 https://rapo.bandcamp.com/album/live-coded-algorave-1-init-5

>>2124 yes, everything runs over SuperCollider. thanks for that tw account! I've forgotten that (the music I posted is written in tidalcycles https://tidalcycles.org/, a DSL of haskell, and the repo is in the album description)

>>2126 Met the author of that library at a NYC Haskell event a year or so ago. He's a nice dude. I don't think he ever ported over the patterns libraries from SC though. IMO, the client-server abstraction in SC is the weakest part of the design. It forces you to think of non-musical concerns.

>>2111 We had a thread on the same topic at >>>/lambda/5933 (do cross-board references work on lainchan?). I'm the guy that posted about extempore there. I've also looked into TidalCycles since then. Haven't gotten deep into it, but I'm hoping to find time for it or extempore over the summer. I like your stuff, OP!

>>2131 supercollider has a very nice classes for patters, but its more verbose thats true. I find tidal much simpler and a lot more rhythmic. IMO without the client-server arch in SC we couldn't have all the other opctions! https://github.com/toplap/awesome-livecoding I love the idea of write simple text that interprets to music

>>2132 oh thanks for that info. will look into it! <3 https://toplap.org/ thats the comunity driven from algorave movement

>>2150 thats so amazing sounds!

>>2150 Do Autchere use any sort of live coding? I feel like this thread is specifically about music that results from a piece of code written by the artist themself. Even if this doesn't fit the thread, thanks for sharing, this is some good bleep!

>>2159 They use Max/MSP exclusively since ~5 years, so their stuff is algorithmical, just not live. So I posted AE_LIVE, which is live soundboard recordings. Check NTS Sessions 1-4 for similar stuff (8 hours of it)
