Oh man I love curling up to some Tim Hecker under a duvet. And I think Grouper Dragging a Dead Dear... is seriously my favourite unwind album. Here are some albums I like: I really like how drone styles can also be incorporated into other music. Like Natural Snow Buildings, some folky parts, mostly building drone [The Dance of the Moon and the Sun] https://youtu.be/MGlcxjKfU8A To the metal sensation of an anchor being dragged along of Earth [Earth 2] https://youtu.be/Ls1OYn_xGzM Or more spring-time sensation drone like Williamette [Echo Park] https://youtu.be/KFYbA871NR4 Finally shout out to this classic, of William Basinski's attempts to salvage twenty year old recordings [The Disintegration Loops] https://youtu.be/mjnAE5go9dI Got any other recommendations? What kind of moods do you find you listening to drone during?

Here's some of my favourites: Cities - Steven R Smith s/t - A Winged Victory for the Sullen The Tired Sounds of Stars of the Lid - Stars of the Lid Laurie Bird - Natural Snow Buildings Stratosphere - Duster A U R O R A - Ben Frost >>2014 Also The Disintegration Loops are all gud soykaf. Nice taste. Generally I find drone to be very relaxing whilst still being meaningful. It's good to have in the background when you want some music, but nothing that demands much of you.

Dunno if this is really drone or ambient but I like it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQZfGa5t4e8 I've also been getting into Brambles recently. Good stuff to listen to when it's cold outside. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYSaGdYeQDA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uA_j5CNH1dU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2W3VdK_X54

I recommend an act called Lussuria. Some of the most interesting ambient related music I've heard. It can go from deeply beautiful to deeply uncomfortable in a way that's hard to describe, but that I haven't felt in other acts. Esoteric comes to mind as a descriptor, but maybe that's pretentious to say. Some of his work (from what I remember at least the Indigo Widow and Scarlet Locust releases) is claimed to be sourced from things like old tapes, fire, water, crystals, singing bowls, bone instruments, among other things. https://youtu.be/pR1rw1gl6a4 https://youtu.be/iBigE8z1R48 https://youtu.be/kuzxKmb74Cw https://youtu.be/-jRBaT8u1oQ https://youtu.be/vRtMDP0FBsk https://youtu.be/L2ZGR1EOhSY https://youtu.be/Xl3lOrxJ9GM https://youtu.be/XhpeG-2LsqQ https://youtu.be/3snNcwf2Gh0
