Portal 2 is probably my favorite. It's actually quite forward-thinking for video game music. Good mix of "epic" cinematic tracks (complete with strings, pounding drums, etc.) and dreary ambient stuff. There's even a couple of cool glitchy electro tracks. The whole thing seems pretty heavily inspired by the German/Japanese experimental glitch music of the time. Seriously, there's stuff on here that would feel at home on an Alva Noto or Ryoji Ikeda album.

I have also always liked Risk of Rain's soundtrack. I think of it like a re-imagining of the kind of soundtrack you'd hear in an old corridor shooter. Shreddy guitar riffs, dreamy synths, EBM-inspired drums. There's a decent amount of variation, but it's still very much in the lineage of "video game music".

This was a relatively small futuristic half-life 2 multiplayer mod released in 2009. The soundtrack was made by Ed Harrison and it'really one of my favourite soundtrack ever. The track Imbrium is really my favourite on the whole album.
Nowadays all the servers are empty and he game is pretty muck dead, but you can still try it out for free on steam.

Maximum Tune 3 has an incredible electronic soundtrack. "Black Pressure" is my personal favorite, but the whole thing is worth a listen.
