This is my favorite Cabaret Voltaire video. The guy synced up the Low Cool song to the docu from which the samples are. The midpoint where the actual music starts is amazing: night cars, old tech, blinking gold capital letters on a black screen.

Marcel Dettman started his Dekmantel Selectors release with that song, good collection of tunes if you can get a hold of it.
Two of my favorite industrial mixes that I've listened to a dozen times each:

>2 and a half hours of pure throbbing industrial with real creative mixing of pop songs you know from New Order and Depeche Mode where the song is mixed with other elements, so it's there but not quite.

>more obscure, brooding, noisy -- and a Sonic Youth song mixed in and perfectly at home

Did anyone hear this? I thought they had broken up but some town in Belgium that got smashed in WWI commissioned them in 2014 to make something for the 100th anniversary.
There's some odd stuff on it including tongue in cheek covers of period songs and also Blixa reading the telegrams sent between the kaiser and the czar (who were 3rd cousins).

If you are a fan of Cabaret Voltaire, you will likely enjoy High-Functioning Flesh. They are pretty new, but their album Culture Cut is very Cabaret Voltaire-esque.

i'm pretty oldschool when it comes to industrial music ... throbbing gristle, NoN, SPK, haus arafna, early laibach, genocide organ, grey wolves ...
