I always found that less intelligent people and drunken people were more likely to dance, and enjoyed it more. I suppose it there's a sense of ancient, older-than society feeling to it, while it's still tribal and social. My favorite tracks are not fit for dancing.

>>1895 Dance comes in many different shapes, compare ballet and twerking for example. I think it's like any other form of self-expression or art; it can be almost anything. It doesn't have to be tribal or social, although in our cultural context it often is. And perhaps that's why I don't understand what kind of music would be "non-danceable". I guess this means music that doesn't have a linear repetitive rhythm? I think this is just one form of dancing. For example, you can dance to ambient soundscapes with subtle movements of the body.

I danced to Merzbows 1930, so yeah, nothing classifies as non-danceable.
