/emo/

Any other emo lainons? If so, post your favorite songs! All styles are welcome. 1st wave, midwestern, screamo, pop punk, post-hardcore, metalcore, etc. I'm not one to get into debates about what is "real emo". Some songs I like to get the thread started: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EraIIGmg6xY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9cOmtP5wxg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IrHIsE6NdQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-cepZ6K7mY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAY8L1QzCDk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-P9cbsPbR0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMOkim54h4c https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sTQ0QdkN3Q https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9z1DUXCj398 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vaQ_Csbrt8M

Probably not what you're looking for but despite not listening to emo I've found Weatherday very enjoyable, mainly this song /watch?v=uwpLuTUvFoA

>>14205 omg fellow weatherday fan hiii anyways posting sum more newer emo https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8nKDFt21xFk&list=RD8nKDFt21xFk&start_radio=1&pp=ygUWcHJldHR5IGdpcmwgc251ZmYgZmlsbaAHAQ%3D%3D https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RHDE8s35U_Q&list=RDRHDE8s35U_Q&start_radio=1&pp=ygUbc3RyYXdiZXJyeSBob3NwaXRhbCBtZW1lbnRvoAcB

fuarrrk yes dude, post-hardcore/screamo has been my jam lately, can't really find myself listening to anything else on a day to day basis https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jb6dXdJIDvI https://youtu.be/XYK-yj4ca8c?si=sH9wlNME5htacNEI https://youtu.be/W1iGXRDeZf4?si=dg0I4rhiY2sGrtgE https://youtu.be/CfU94uxnlhk?si=eaCw4k2DNhtQ3MKz

emo is an extremely nebulous label at this point. I mean I like sad music and detest music written by people winning in life but yeah I don't do music genre labels

>>14225 >belowground Doesn't he make incelcore, not emo? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nt4denNvZE

Huge Skramz user here (or whatever you call it), of course enjoying calmer screamo and harsher emoviolence/crust too. I'm so sad the european scene died after the 00s. I was trying to learn bass to eventually join a band, but I don't even know where I could find any other members even though I live in a big city. Genre's basically dead here. Such a shame https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzzu0by10t0 >>14215 didn't know anomie anon, thanks!

I liked this song - but unfortunately, I don't know the name of it. It's in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sF6sxSdKF2A Timestamp is 2:02 Does anybody know the name of this OST? Sounds pretty chill, FYI. Thanks in advance!

>>14229 im pretty big on emoviolence and skramz

Huge fan of the early 00s era genre, been doing a lot of signal the escape, evening at Elmwood, skyscrapers walk among us, April's love affair, and some more recent metalcore/deathcore stuff I can't remember the name of,

Unpopular opinion: in XIX century or early XX century, the archetype of guys who would assume they're "emo" these days was THE norm: designed and parented to be modest. The same goes for USSR semi-nerdy guys who wouldn't spent ALL their time doing nerdy stuff and these days, people who grew on stuff like Blondie, The Exploited and such - let alone erotica - bully such modest people with their ASSUMPTIONS. In my opinion, should have bullied punks and rockers online with "music for the fatherless lifestyle" or something.

If you're into the bedroom pop side of things, this band's pretty good https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pi3SJNcQOeQ

>>14229 literally in the same position as you, i also want to be in a band since i can play guitar but hey, maybe one day you, me and or anybody could instigate a european revival (obivously ambitious but i don't fuarrrking care) https://youtu.be/TbK9uQ_CU3U?si=Gdkgu5VXGIglSHrB

>>14290 well I mean there's still some bands, the ones I know are in spain and italy mostly, a few ones still active in france (where I am) but I don't know if a revival could happen here. It seems like almost no one cares about that music genre

One of my favourite bedroom screamo projects on par with is6hwsvy https://youtu.be/oIh5XKzyPMA?si=3T_6N9YxHUXUgZC5
