Anybody knows how to make proper power electronics?

I got into the power electronics (PE) scene back when I was 16, I was already really into the early industrial and noisegrind scene but when I found out about PE I just couldn't find any other genre that produced something as aggressive and abrasive as them, the only genre that could somehow match it was harsh noise but for me, not even harsh noise was as aggressive as PE. Despite being in love with the scene since my teenage years, I could barely find quality PE that was even nearly as aggressive as the classics like Sutcliffe Jügend, Haus Arafna and Navicon Torture Technologies/Theologian, most would rely on pretty static noises that would get old after a few re-listens, so this is where the main question comes: Does anybody know how to make proper PE? This is just a shot in the dark since I doubt that lainchan even knows about PE but any tips are recommended, I'd like to go for the classic style of using synths and frequencies instead of the more recent click-and-drop way that most artists seem to push nowadays since that's pretty much how the best of the best were formed. I've looked into synths but I haven't brought one yet since I'm not sure if I can get past the aforementioned boring PE with just synths. Either way, any forms of help are appreciated, I'm not too knowledgeable on making PE since the resources for such a thing are VERY spare, so even a link to a short documentation is appreciated.

I like the more ambient stuff from NTT and I'm a big fan of Belong and Yellow Swans, maybe Axebreaker. >Does anybody know how to make proper PE? What have you *actually tried* so far? Go visit Modwiggler and lurk a little. https://www.modwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=164102 Honestly as with most electronic music you could get by with just a laptop and a free DAW/plugins. Airwindows and surgeXT have gnarly distortion. Don't like software? You can get there with any yard sale synth, a field recorder, a few of your favorite reverb looper and distortion pedals, and mixing/eq gear with aux sends for feedback to make it not sound like boring soykaf. If you're loaded with cash you might enjoy stuff from Ciat Lonbarde and SOMA Labs, among others. Music is personal and experimental so don't expect spoon-feed. TLDR if all the above sounds intimidating then just go install this and mess around https://github.com/mikemorenodsp/lira-8

>>14090 Is there even such a thing as proper power electronics? Perhaps there is no satisfying music in it because there's something fundamentally wrong with the reason for the existence of the genre. For instance, I've never heard a single good speedcore song, and I think the faulty premise of the genre that purports nothing deeper, is the reason why. I don't know anything about power electronics, just throwing it out there.

if you're about that old school sound, record to cassettes, any cassette could work but if you have the extra bucks for a 4 track recorder go for it. Behringer makes some cheap synths, check used market for cheap synth and pedals. look up no imput mixing. soldering your own contact mics. try stuff and see what works for you :)
