My favorites of the 70s, 80s and 60s(in order).

Nothing beats samba. Nothing beats bossa nova. Nothing beats the brazilian guitar. Cartola - Cartola II https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVnkoLiLMTm5OK3xNgBjEG1CwBW2cwS12 João Gilberto - João, Voz e Violão (João, Voice and Guitar) https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDb0Vf3ZEkbnP2rF4ER8O0_HNAWqZk_Mj Tom Jobim - Elis & Tom https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrt7VbxNS8rcaHppOqrezMOWHwSmvti7t Vander Lee - Esperando Aviões (Waiting for Planes) (music starts at 0:55) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7J2YGuZXiMg Vander Lee - Alma Nua (Naked Soul) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTxtwqc4BZ4 Unfortunately I can't find the whole album on Youtube (only one I could find is missing Alma Nua), but these are from the self-titled album "Vander Lee". I don't know of many brazilian electronic music artists, only DJ Gator Aids and his event called SWAMP FEST with other brazilian artists (he also brings in artists from other countries). Really good DJ sets, they definitely know how to throw a party. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2626536925 You can probably find each artist's individual sets on youtube or soundcloud.

if you lainanons like more slow/melodic/operatic music compared to most of the world go check out chinese music, highly recommend people like eason chan, zhao chuan, chyi chin etc. honestly the older you go the more melodic but i guess that goes for music in general

this is one of my favorite albums of all time. i know "good" music is subjective but in my opinion this album is one of the best of all time. i hope you all enjoy it https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFWddfuOoNbZUHgjsBZulYwxrXDDKwZcY&si=EifO4aQRZf6KzRgx

sahrawi here, here are some good bops. i have noticed that tuareg music has been getting more traction and appreciation from the outside world to which there is no doubt that they deserve it but sadly people never acknowledge or even know about bidhani music (western sahara/mauritania) which is literally next to azawad (northern mali) so here are some relatively obscure songs/artists to check out, Tiris band: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCx8ErJYIA0 Moustapha Benrazougui: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUq8SG8JF4k Ali Seidah: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dQVOHAUZVw Badi ould zein (Badi zein): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lb8skvQHYPs Groupe doueh: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jrHwN8tsbg&list=PLEC516D889268568B am not mentioning the more mainstream artists/bands like el ouali, Mariam hassan, Najm alal and the like but even then the obscure stuff that i listed are simply scratching the surface to how extensive the bidhani scene is. one important cultural note i would like to add is that some songs especially older ones have their entire lyrics plus mood directly from poetry, meaning that you would encounter similar sounding pieces of music from different artists giving their own spin on it with their unique voice and instrumentation. for example, a political song called "oh revolutionaries of saguia" (excuse my soykaf translation) this version is sung by Aziza brahim https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-lZsqZuwl4 while this version is sung by Ali Seidah https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tN09ik-snbc here are two song titles to check out the countless different versions of, While I am at it, here is an honourable mention, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6fergnbHB4
