>>13069 Watch Brat and Brat 2, then download the soundtracks. Absolutely kino tracks. The movies will give you abit of a backdrop to the environment of Russia at the time, too.

>>13070 >Кино Not studying Russian like OP, but I remember discovering Kino when I was browsing Danbooru and saw the band referenced in someones Kino's Journey fan art. I was curious what a "Soviet rock" and searched it on Youtube. Someone made lyric videos with English subs to clips of 90s Russia. I fell in love the music immediately. I'm grateful for you recamending more bands but I dread having to click around blindly on the RU Net and find a way to sort music in mutable languages. As for OP, he may know about them (I think they are the only Russian band to get noticed in the west) but Slaughter to Prevail has lyrics in both Russian and English. I love their singer, he can sound passionate in one bar and like a disgruntled bear in the next. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVdfTA_KVJU

Am I the only one who is into early tatu? Я звезда, ты звезда. Нас приказано сжечь. Кто-то сдал и достал Адреса наших встреч. Потолки по глазам И никто не найдёт. Соскользнут голоса, И сломается лёд. I also like late soviet/early Russia songs like any of the Na zare or Судно remixes. Stalker mods got me into that. That or songs with a high nightcore potential, the sonorities of the Russian language fit that well. I guess that's the catch with Tatu. Try: E-Phoria, D. Substance and Jin - Для тебя Kill Eva & ENCASSATOR - Psycho Dreams As maidcore goes, I find only wonderland is fine. And this one is very personal: Monolith isn't loved

Hello everyone I found this track which claims to be cover of "Gaza Sector" (a Russian band) Is that band cool?

>>13069 You're looking for Soviet singers, not strictly Russian ones. MUSLIM MAGOMAYEV fits OPs description Reason: he did not have those silly fluid speech habits, his songs are slow-paced (good for studying while videing), his songs are vibey (a proper concert singer, not some punk songs maker) >>13070 I mean, really, imagine a Muscovite studying English via Blondie's "WAN UEEEEYYYYYY ORANOZEEEEEEE AIM GONNA GEEETCCHHAHGEEETCCHHAHGEEETCCHHAH" or gangsta rap eboincs.

>>14283 Katyusha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cu9EYHjohp0 Apple trees and pear trees were a-blossoming, Mist was creeping over the river wide. Katyusha came out onto the riverbank, On the high and steeply sloping side. Katyusha came out onto the riverbank, On the high and steeply sloping side. She came out and started singing, Of the gray steppe eagle of the south, Of the one she dearly loved, Of the one whose letters she kept safe. Of the one she dearly loved, Of the one whose letters she kept safe. Oh, you song, the maiden’s song, Fly behind the bright sun’s ray, To the soldier on the far frontier, Carry Katyusha’s greeting on your way. To the soldier on the far frontier, Carry Katyusha’s greeting on your way. Let him remember this simple girl, Let him hear her song as she is singing, Let him guard his native land, While Katyusha keeps their love from fading. Let him guard his native land, While Katyusha keeps their love from fading. Apple trees and pear trees were a-blossoming, Mist was creeping over the river wide. Katyusha came out onto the riverbank, On the high and steeply sloping side. Katyusha came out onto the riverbank, On the high and steeply sloping side.
