I really like Whitehouse, Bird Seed is the only album so far that has made me feel uneasy.

Just came across
Phyllomedusa - Fijian Fantasies
It's a great ironic piece but judging by how harsh it is (hence the name, gorenoise) I doubt it'll ever get the attention it deserves.

>I doubt it'll ever get the attention it deserves.
Just found out that there's apparently a tiktok trend where people dance to his music so I guess I was wrong, but imo the part that they took out sounds more like death metal than gorenoise.

Never thought I'd see another TzarBombah fan, even online, in my own lifetime.

phyllomedusa is basically a celebrity by gorenoise standards afaik which is very much deserved cause it's like the only gorenoise band with any presence

Whitehouse is also the most popular in the power electronics scene but OP linked it so I assumed we were going by overall popularity.

Wasn't hornet disaster a huge hit? Last.fm shows it as the second most popular album by almost double the listeners compared to the song next to it that had 7 years to get there

saw weatherday in portland. can confirm not underground and pretty popular with the noise pop niche, not an unknown niche.
great concert, btw. the drum died, the bassist was almost sloshed and the moshpit was full of transfems in lacey dresses and sweatshirts bodyslamming the soykaf out of eachother
Neuromancer · 2026-01-16 17:49
Ideation - Blunt Instrument (allegedly it's "big" according to hardcore kids that don't actually go to shows, but I've never ran into someone that has ever brought this band up)
En Love - Fled
Damn, in searching for my list of bands that I really like I realized I must have accidentally purged it not to long ago. I guess this begins the creation of a search and list.

I love this band! There is some pretty raw footage of them playing (NYC I think) and not even 2 minutes into the set the lead singer spews all over the crowd.

Circle of Ouroborus. The demos were hard to find.

picture unrelated
secret abuse- the immeasurable gift
manipulated tape loops filled with fuzz and noise, but somehow its the most beautiful and moving piece of music i've ever found.
gauuzeee · 2026-08-14 00:42
Deadseraphim, Rue Morgue, The Syntax Transfer Theory and The Drago Miette are some really good obscure skramz artists, I'd say.

Stalaggh is a meme akin to Merzbow's Pulse Demon

The Gerogerigegege is too RYMcore even for me whose taste is 60% RYMcore. Also you linked the song that comes up first when you search "The Gerogerigegege" on YouTube.
The closest thing to a contemporary underground are the Discord groomer rapper scenes that occasionally surface on Soundcloud. They think they're more inventive than they really are.
