So got a ticket with a friend to see a shoegaze (Nu gaze even?) band called Julie around October. Its my first ever concert I'll be going to. Any Lainons have any experiences they wanna share?

yeah I went to a couple concerts in my day. You get a seat, watch and listen. Don't applaud except at the end / when the conductor bows to the audience. Have fun

Maybe take some earplugs, and water if you can. Since it's an indie concert, it probably won't be so commercial, but they scam people with many concert water bottles. Also if they have the sound too loud you will get hearing damage.

Eyy, Julie! They're pretty good.
As for advice I'd say the other two Lainons are right and generally, "when in Rome."
Also yeah never fuarrrking pay for concert water.

That's funny, when I saw My Bloody Valentine a while back, they were handing out earplugs at the entrance. I haven't heard of OP's band, but I think it's common for shoegaze bands to be super loud

appreciate the advice. I'll try to buy some earplugs for me and my friend when it gets around that time.

Fourthing ear plugs haha, I thought my tolerance was good enough and went to see mbv without using it, it was fun but my ears weren't having it.

Pull out your phone and shakily film the entire concert from a soykafty angle
