i wish there were better resources for music production instead of the soykaf garbage there is on yt.
i've been readin these book and seems okay for music theory essentials for producers (kinda old)

The production stuff is pretty good but the composition/music theory side isn't as touched on by that.
For that I'd just focus on learning an instrument (if you are electronic music focused keyboard) and that'll entail all the music theory stuff, that + learning songs on keyboard and seeing how they work structurally in relation to the music theory stuff. Looking at this book I have no idea how you'd remember this outside of like internalizing it by practicing it on an instrument, when you do that the relation between scales, intervals, chords, etc. becomes very obvious and intuitive.

dogs on acid's "the grid" for general dnb/breakcore prod, and the renoise forums for renoise-specific stuff. sometimes i also browse r/breakcore and r/breakcoreproduction for inspiration.
