SoundCloud rap that's actually good and not corporate

Doesn't have to be "rap" per se, just something good from the underground. Almost all modern rock music feels fake and lame

this is good and all, but not at all what i asked for. its like indie rock from the 90s. i want to hear something modern that embodies the rock n roll spirit
im sure most here have heard of Bladee, he's another good example:

(i would have posted this earlier but my thread took like 2 hours to show up)

And for my last example I'll include a Lil Peep song. These early, heavily guitar-based songs are really good and I feel like the whole thing was genuinely grassroots, meaning, regular people collaborated over the internet with SoundCloud and got recognition without ulterior motives. That's a lot more than can be said about a lot of "rock" music these days, with spoiled rich kids playing $3000 dollar guitars with production companies and managers from the very start. Barrier to entry is a lot lower for acts like these, and they make more sense given the technological advancements we've reached as a society since the 90s (computers becoming ubiquitous)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFUg5OmB5FI&pp=ygUQbGlsIHBlZXAgZmxhbm5lbA%3D%3D
This one for example is hardly even a rap song. I love the Cure sample, and the vocal overdubbing is actually kinda impressive for a random deep cut.
Anyway, these are just three examples that are my favorites. I've tried listening to others like this, but these artists are more melodic and very creative, which I appreciate. I would love to hear more examples of "underground" music you think is good that came out in the last 10 years, lainons.

Check out Joeyy and Marlon Dubois , very atmospheric and experimental sounding rap , extremely nice beats and great mixing.

OP here, just coming back and realizing I should have mentioned Night Lovell

Idk much about if there's still a scene for this kind of stuff, I haven't really been listening to this kind of music lately. But I hope there is something big coming in music soon.
>>11498
That was cool. 100 listens, where do you find this? I like the production, but I think they're speaking half English half Spanish, so I couldn't understand all of it. Still, not bad

i love this guy, one of my favorite artists i've recently discovered. he has some death grips/aphex twin/crystal castles influence to him, but he's very unique
https://soundcloud.com/mothersuo/sets/moving-more-faster
his most recent album, really good stuff
also, he has a youtube channel where he'll post non-music related things, usually talking about digital privacy/internet freedom/foss software:

>>11753 poster here,
i've been listening to this guy recently, he genuinely impresses me on a production and artistic vision level i haven't quite felt with a lot of other artists.
good loosies on one of his alt accounts:
https://soundcloud.com/xnainfo/tahuya-drill
https://soundcloud.com/xnainfo/atmosphere-poisoned
very strong James Ferraro/bodyguard, spaceghostpurrp, and yabujin influence
he currently has a project now under his main name:
https://soundcloud.com/dvstrr/sets/build-your-empire
he also has a youtube channel where he'll post music videos, but he also has a video on ranking washington state county high points from easiest to hardest (he's really into hiking):
https://youtube.com/watch?v=k4XzXLASDA8
overall, one of the most impressive artists i've discovered this year

I keep putting off posting again in this thread because I feel like I need to make some big effortpost, but today I realized it's better to post something rather than nothing at all and let the thread die.
I originally was going to talk about how I watched this video where they named off like 10 new artists I've never heard of:
https://youtu.be/_XUttmb3Dxg
I would always check on Adam22 because he put on some good stuff for some real underground artists back in the day, but I've pretty much given up on him too now.
I went through every one of the artists they mentioned in this video and it was a real mindfuck. Most of it sounded AI generated, but it's partially my fault, because I went and listened to full mixtapes on Deezer instead of just checking out some of their top music videos on YouTube. We are way past the album era, imo. Even rock artists pump out demo albums, singles and albums several times a year now.
And to partially answer >>11944, we've reached this weird genesis in rap where everyone wants to sell out, and even non sellout artists from the underground are sampling mall emo and other major sellout bands without having been alive at the time to know that they were sellouts, so in a sense you have sellouts pretending to be sellouts before they sell out. But the whole concept of a "sell out" is pretty much irrelevant in 2024. Artists have a lot more creative freedom with the internet. Your song being played at Target would just be considered "getting money" to them.
The only artist I kind of liked from that No Jumper video was Destroy Lonely:
https://youtu.be/665mU_G0INE
Not really sure if he counts as "non corporate" anymore. I'm sure he was underground at one time, but a lot of these artists are getting picked up by Playboi Carti and signed to his Opium label. That's another thing. There is this major wave of artists rapping over rage beats trying to sound like Playboi Carti. I call them The Cartis.
Here's another one they mentioned that I thought was ok, and is definitely not signed:

this is pretty good too, it kind of reminds me of grime, but maybe just because of his accent. you know, like Dizzee Rascal
Nemissa · 2024-02-09 20:10
>>11949
yeah, suo's got that American mid-West non-accent type of accent.
since i posted >>11753, he's dropped a new ep that i think surpasses every project he's released thus far, despite it being a bit short at only five tracks:
