The Unstable Molecule is amazing, the other one i haven't listened to. I think these ones fit in the psychodelic modern jazz. Sajo Bkule - intuitive alhaja https://youtu.be/9eFhW49fsgE DJ Spooky - Optometry https://youtu.be/D3L2eRFMTws?list=OLAK5uy_mzY_MQpdMmcx5j7vl-4eNiHWQ3P0Om8Hk Yussef Kamaal - Black Focus https://youtu.be/4D8YPDdsxYU

I'm the same guy from the post above, sorry i didnt read everything. If you've heard things like the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack listen to the literal genre of jazz named Bebop. If you dont know where to start here's one: Charles Mingus - The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady I've heard some youtubers call jazz fusion a (of course) fusion of jazz and rock, so if you're into that listen to Bitches Brew by Miles Davis or The Mahavishnú Orchestra - The Inner Mounting Flame. If this is too hardcore for you listen to something easy to digest like Robohands - Green and something hip hop like Nujabes - Modal Soul.

>>11511 Mingus, Miles and Mclaughlin (Mahavishnu Orchestra), the holy Ms trinity. I'd also recommend Soft Machine, Herbie Hancock (the 70's albums), Weather Report (both pre and post jaco pastorius) and Nucleus. All of them are very electric. Pretty much the pioneers of jazz fusion.

flaming hot take but you should learn the theory behind jazz before listening to it, unless your some fu cking genuis. on the internet there are many guides but a lot of them are full of soykaf, try and find one that explains concepts without selling them and is striaght to the point. i say this assuming you've already picked up an instrument and know the basics of music theory. if not, then understanding jazz will be a lot harder. theres a huge gap between listening to something with a familiar timbre like fusion and not understanding what the fuarrrk is going on but "ooh this really puts me in my vibe" (like me) and knowing the elements at play and feeling the aural energies of the musicians (in other words, feeling the groove [in very loose terms] and how the musicians are playing around with it)

>>11655 >Learn theory before listening to the music. Listen sewerslvt's "Mr. Kill Myself" and be identified by the title.

>>11655 Absolutely braindead take. When listening to Charlie Parker blazing through notes you don't make a stank face because he used a lydian dominant as a tritone sub on the bVI degree. You make a stank face because he's straight up going crazy on that sax and that feeling of euphoria, or smoothness or whatever is being conveyed succesfully. At most, what makes you enjoy jazz more intensely is listening to it a lot, getting familiarized with the language by constant exposure.

>>11965 hes just a non touchy feely autist who appreciates nothing without a good sense of technical grounding and background. Some people like flying because you get to see pretty clouds and everything looks funny from high up (not to mention going fast but whatever). 11655 would be marveled at the plane, the engine, the nobs and switches and dials and gauges of the cockpit. If he's glued to the window its because he's examining the wing and engine if not the window itself. For what its worth I was rather of the impression that of all the musical arts jazz was constructed rather for the opposite of this type of person, but then I don't really care about music except for cultural/historical reasons or when I'm playing an instrument.
