ITT Vaporwave.

Greetings, Lainons ! I've been really into Vaporwave lately, and I was wondering if anyone else has any favorite records and albums they'd like to share or recommendations? Or general discretion about the subject matter, Since i't IMO so fitting to the cyberpunk theme of the board

>>10859 2814 is really really good lain. One of the makers is a guy that goes by the name of telepath, highly recommended, but be warned he has a LOT of albums: https://telepathtelepath.bandcamp.com another i recommend is the youtube channel electronic gems, posts all kind of music from various niche authors although it's mostly synthwave but also some vaporwave. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPzWlhG7QM56Y8MYB3qMVnQ >>10860 also Saint Pepsi a really good one

>>10859 oh hey i have ill try living like this on vinyl :) anyway in terms of recommendations some of DDS' best stuff can be found under their NUWRLD mixtape club so either you can sign up for that or find reuploads of those albums (they make one whole NUWRLD album a month)

>>10859 Gen-Zer here, vaporwave meant a lot to me during middle school/high school. I'll post some lesser known ones. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipH0KwPRLio https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ke3nsEtPE8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42-giIrwmTk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMUxDgD59lY

>>10859 Little late to the thread but I'd recommend an artist by the name of tupperwave, I think the stuff is pretty neat. https://tupperwave.bandcamp.com/album/one-life-stand

One of the best pieces I know https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cz9T-ZR4ApE

>>10859 there are three, and only three eccojam albums in existence. That's: New Dreams Ltd. / Initiation Tape: Isle of Avalon Edition https://youtu.be/FHk5Duip_7Q Mediafired / Pathway Through Whatever https://youtu.be/x5HERUw8W8M Chuck Person's Eccojams vol.1 https://youtu.be/unN7QvSWSTo There is barely, BARELY, anything out there that gets the fuarrrking premise like these three albums. There are individual songs from small artists that I've come across that get the vibe, but never a whole album besides these three. Everything else I've come across is either 1) Blatantly not eccojams or 2) Sounds like soykaf, usually when the vocals kick in.

>>10859 I won't stop saying this: I think vaporwave is one of the best things that ever happened to music. I know it's mostly quirky sampling, but リサフランク420 from "Floral Shoppe" is so so simple yet so magical it's insane. As for album recs... >Infinity Frequencies - Computer Death That's also includes "Computer Decay" and "Computer Afterlife". Really makes me wanna trip balls. >░░disease▒▒ - 愛情のある関係 Probably a lesser known album/artist, but still worth checking out. I forgot what the title means, but it has something to do with death. >Chinese Hackers - ░▒▓死▓▒░ Spooky soykaf @_@ I love their style regardless. >>10860 >Between Two Worlds Amazingly based rec, I love that album.

I dont have anything to contribute per se. But I'm glad to see you go down this path lainon OP. One of the funnest things for me to do at the construction site is load up a youtube radio or playlist catering to vaporwave and just chill while doing my rounds.

i'm drawing blanks but some artists worth checking out: death's dynamic shroud.wmv (personal fave), desert sand feels warm at night, 猫 シ Corp., Luxury Elite > 骷 [Skeleton] - Holograms one of the very first vaporwave album. full of hypnotic loops. classic sound. >Dream Sequins - Nmesh sometimes atmospheric, sometimes rhythmic, mostly eerie. this one might not be the easiest to get into. enjoyable and beloved nonetheless. >???????? - THE DARKEST FUTURE i just like this one

>>11250 ah, vaporwave. My first contact was this weird website about Lain with soundtracks that were so difficult to find. Then... death shroud dynamic.wmv. it was many, many years ago on 8ch. death shroud dynamic.wmv has saved my life. It has changed my life. They had a function equal to a mushroom trip that at the right time, at the right place, made me so incredibly amazed and inspired, that I have never given up And it still echoes... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5IRJubO4Eo
