share and recommend thread

this thread is for sharing music and getting recommended similar stuff to what you posted. I'll start, I'm looking for music similar to hylics 1 ost. https://youtu.be/BtLQhICoIOg

>>10842 cool ost, reminds me of adventure time, don't really know why. It's like the background music in the various episodes Anyways the closest thing to this that I know is pilotredsun music, check this up: https://youtu.be/watch?v=u1mUiAjHzAI I also recommend aphex twin to everyone cause why not, one of the popular mixes: https://youtu.be/watch?v=Xw5AiRVqfqk

>>10845 AFX is great, though most people I've met expect the rest of his work to be like SAW and as a result get turned off, which is IMO a damn shame. Lots of really weird heady stuff when you dive down into the depths of his discog. For the real AFX experience you can't beat the Analord series. Syro has some pretty cool tracks too, even if it wasn't the album we needed after all those years of silence after Drukqs which is itself a fuarrrking masterpiece. Anyways don't get me wrong, SAW1+2 are required listening, I just dont like seeing his work generalized down to just that.

>>10846 >Analord But that's Richard's mid-life crisis release, the 'I want to be Ceephax Acid Crew' release. Personally, I feel like Drukqs is the last album of his worth listening and it still isn't anywhere near as good as µ-Ziq's Lunatic Harness/Brace Yourself. In general, all those British IDM artists completely fell off in the post-minimal era, it's like Villalobos' Alcachofa came out and completely mind-broke them or something. Speaking of which- https://youtu.be/w82WpAd1xsU

>>10850 Not even mentioning his best release Rushup Edge smh... Ceephax Acid Crew is nowhere near analord, if you listen to Fenix funk 5, Lisbon acid, bodmin 3, xmd5a, cilonen you'll know what I mean. I feel like most people talking about Analord just skimmed it and haven't actually listened to it, well it is almost 5 hours long so it's understandable

I can't actually think of anything similar at the present moment, so I hope my recommendations resonate with anyone that will actually bother to listen to them. Ribbon Fix, Marschak and Daitro: a must if you like emo https://youtu.be/CTE1nReaSCg https://youtu.be/CskKdcHhYcg https://youtu.be/tbRa3lfG30g Crypt of the Wizard by Mortiis: personal favorite when it comes to dungeon synth https://youtu.be/mpj3NX5_A90 Apocalypse by We Are Magonia: good darksynth album https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoFCpyWmIiw Ritual drops: good witch house artist https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vMLI_h53Q8 SUBHUMAN: very weird album that perfectly fits this IB https://youtu.be/HGl5v1hFSys

Positive Yellow by Adolf Nomura absolute tunes on this album need more like this. has this incredible 2000s ps1 jungle vibe not many other records can do. This guy used like every other sample from the 0g Datafile series i think and it just works so well

Anyone know of anything like this, especially with respect to how energetic it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6gKT3NnE3k

>>11590 >Live Adult Entertainment. Thessaloniki based techno/trance/experimental electronic label. Extremely limited physical releases with some of their discog being lost media. Quite the rabbit hole this one. This was ran by DJ Loser who now runs Magdalena's Apathy. A bit less obscure but still good techno sounds. I think someone has an almost complete collection of LAE on slsk, at least that's where I got it from A similar label to LAE was the brazilian Liga Do Vento Divino, now defunct. ran by secretlifer34 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uq7C6IoDgNg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z323AsgEaRI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfqWCec_B9c https://soundcloud.com/eternalshrinemaiden/roppongi-trance a couple of releases from 2019-2022 before disappearing. Lined up two raves in Rio last year before going under. Same sonical energy and secrecy.

>>11587 The Flaming Lips are gonna be a good bet, although I suspect you already have heard of them. I used to listen to a lot of music like this (psych rock adjacent sorta) but for the life of me cant remember anything similar now. I may remember later.
