Oh hey this guy. I like his music. I think this sor of depressive punk music with electronic elements is going to grow in the post vaporwave/neo80s/lofi hip hop music space.

>>1381 I think the sidechain compression sound is just a result of the snare being loud and some mixing. Lofi DIY bands have a tendency to not realize that limiters/compressors can cause scoops if there's a sudden volume increase. Some of them don't even bother to level their mixes so that nothing is clipping before mastering them. The drums are probably a drum machine but it sounds like samples instead of synth generated drums. Either way, you could call these elements electronic, but when I think of electronic elements I usually think of synths, certain effects, and stuff like that that's characteristic of idm/edm/concrete. I guess it depends on how you define "electronic elements" I'd like to get my hand on his vocal fx chains
