Douglas P. by most accounts had genuine and well-reasoned traditionalist/nationalist beliefs. i'd say he shares a common philosophical ancestry with the nazis, but does not accept their interpretation derived from this proto-philosophy. it's a bit like how many leftists agree with basic assumptions of traditional libertarianism while simultaneously rejecting the populist expression of these ideas through e.g. the american libertarian party. i could easily see why many people would find death in june's philosophy objectionable, but calling them nazis is just inaccurate.
