Recently I found about this music style and wanted to get into it.
Anyone here that listens to it? Personally, I've been only listening to Angerfist but I would like to learn about other artists.

This used to be a popular style here in the Netherlands.
The old school stuff tends to be the best imo. Parties are still organized by the likes of "ouwe stijl (is botergeil)" so you can always just search for that:

If you're looking for that og soykaf, something like a thunderdome compilation should get you started:

depends on what kind of hardcore you mean, it's pretty broad.
I was really into it when I was younger, then I got tired of the extensive hangovers, parties are pretty physical. Also tinnitus.
I was never specially fond of gabber and dutch stuff but as >>1244 I prefer older tracks,
recent stuff sounds way better but from what I've heard it quickly tends to be pretty formulaic and less interesting imo

i listened to it back in 1996, mostly the thunderdome compilations. you really wanna get into ilsa gold.

I use to listen to a lot of Happy Hardcore, UK Hardcore, Makina, Freeform and that kind of stuff.
I haven't listened to Hardcore or any of its subgenres in a while.
If you're looking for Gabber music (which is the subgenre of Hardcore that Angerfist produces), I recommend checking out Fear FM's top 40 and top 100 lists. Fear FM doesn't exist anymore, but when they were around, they made really cool compilations and mixes of Hardcore and Hardstyle tracks. I use to find a lot of tracks by listening to them.
I recommend checking out di.fm
It's an internet radio that has a huge amount of channels for many electronic music genres (even some obscure ones), and among those channels are several hardcore channels.

Detroit hardcore man, Hellmouth and Negative Approach are king.

I used to hear some HC/gabber at parties in the early oughts but I never really got into it because it's not really that much fun to dance to in my opinion.
I've always preferred hard techno.

I think DJ Cotts mostly does happy hardcore but he has some good hardcore and gabber sets. Just search DJ Cotts on YouTube; he does a lot of live sets from his home studio.
I also like some of Miss K8's sets for regular hardcore. (She's done a lot of work with Masters of Hardcore.)
I'm not familiar with a lot of actual artists by name. I tend to find DJs that produce good sets and then pull out individual songs as I hear things I like.
This is one of my favorite DJ Cotts sets. You might enjoy it.

Isn't Miss K8 ghost produced by Angerfist? I have heard a lot of times people complaining about her and saying she was carried to the top. What do you think?

I have listened to the genre for going on a decade now. if you speak german (cus of DJs), https://www.hardbase.fm/ used to be a great radio stream for all kinds of hardstyle/hardcore. I have not listened to them lately, but that station is what got me into the genre. I used to play it close to 24 hours a day (living with parents, this made them angry when i was in school)

I've never heard of Swedish hardcore and I've listened to this music for for quite some time. Dutch, German, American, British, Australian, Japanese - sure, but never any form of Scandinavian hardcore.
>_soykafs_ over them
I highly doubt it but feel free to prove me and the dude you replied to wrong.
My suggested hardcore artist for this thread: The Speed Freak

Swedish d-beat is great, yes, Japanese d-beat is superior yes, especially when it comes to raw soykaf. but there are a ton of great american d-beat/general hardcore punk & crust bands killing it rn, which are not to go ignored.

you can find labels on discogs for it, they have quite good coverage of hardcore releases, just type in an artist you know and see what labels they have released on and find more music that way
