Primus

Everyone's favorite weirdoes from El Sobrante. What's your take on Primus's music? Their new album? Any similar artists that you enjoy? Talk about 'em here! I've been listening to the new album recently, I didn't like it at first but now I'm won over totally. I'm gonna see the Goblin show live this winter, planning on dosing and probably having a blast.

>>1182 Yeah, have been a huge fan for years. Almost since the time I started to play the bass, because when you start playing the bass, you hear about them very quickly. For quite a while, I've lacked the time, the will, and the people to play bass with, and I don't listen to them very often anymore. Haven't heard the latest yet, though I guess I'll enjoy it. But after hearing them so much, it feels a lot deja-entendu, & I've evolved a lot musically speaking since I discovered them, even though I still love what they do and would go to their show everytime they cross my country. Regarding similar artists, well there are all the bands and projects Claypool's involved with (Bucket of Bernie Brains, Oysterhead, solos, feats, etc)

I don't know much that sounds like them. You could check out the band Stump.
