Started playing guitar and listeningto hard rock ever since. What made you like the music you listen to, lains?

The non-stop feel good of pop music.
The energy and aggression of punk & hardcore.
The catchiness and cleverness of hip hop.
I love it.

That's weird, i don't remember ever not liking music. I never had to begin to like music, it was something i always took for granted.

I found an instrumental touhou metal cover band called demetori, which got me into metal, and i found rancid because of a friend's brother, which got me into punk. Before all this, i hardly ever listened to music but finding these two bands opened my eyes and before i knew it, i started listening to more and more bands like these. Also i had to listen to some jazz for a test and it absolutely blew my mind. I started with miles, coltrane, dizzy gillespie and chet baker, to name a few. Then i realised fuarrrking loves music and learned bass and here i am, jazz and rock musician.

My liking of pop music is something of a little secret, something I never admit to my friends because I try to play the masculine heavy metal dude, but I actually freaking love most pop.

I didn't like music growing up because my alcoholic father would blast cheesy tacky 70's as loud as he could in the house. It wasn't until high school I ever began listening to music because of it.

Speaking of Jazz, black/Afro jazz from the 20's and 30's is lit as fvck. Not sure when his time period was, but John Lee Harper has amazing music.
