Any good practical book recommendations for survival, bushcraft, hunting, foraging, farming, fishing or other general outdoor topics? Preferably books that could be genuinely be useful for long term outdoor survival.

if you're not aware of foxfire you should check it out. Not strictly survivalist but has a lot of primitive crafts and handy how-to's from the people of Appalachia. They're all available on Libgen though sometimes the pictures dont quite come out in the scans.

>>9227 >genuinely be useful for long term outdoor survival. An almost completely forgotten way of life inside industrial society; any product within industrial society inherits that ignorance. Your only path towards self education in outdoor survival/pre-industrial living is by first firmly understanding the natural world and how it functions and then secondly browsing, reading, and watching large amounts of books/videos/topics on the subject and using your knowledge of the natural world to filter through the noise. The overwhelming amount of information on the topic is a LARP, but there is enough information out there that you can piece together a survival guide.

This book holds a lot of information on how to survive in any situation. I've got an old version, which is only for survival in the wilderness. The newest versions also have a chapter on surviving in urban settings.

>>9227 There are lots of "how to survive until help comes or I get back to civilization" books, but maybe these are more what you're looking for: 1. Ultimate Guide to Wilderness Living, 2008,John and Geri McPherson "This is not written as a survival book -- it’s a compilation of most of the basic skills that original peoples around the world used in their daily pursuit of life." 2. Wilderness Survival Handbook, 2006, Michael Pewtherer "Primitive skills for short-term survival and long-term comfort." Then maybe the Foxfire books as previously mentioned, and one of the homesteading books by Gehrig.
