I noticed >>>/hum/63618 just after posting this thread. Oh well. I'm guessing the administration here probably thinks that /hum/ thread belongs in /q/ anyway.

Been there, done that: https://web.archive.org/web/20220323233424/https://lainchan.org/q/res/10479.html
As I noted in that /hum/ thread recently: I strongly suspect one or more people involved in Lainchan's administration are purposely trying to prevent people from thinking about and discussing certain issues to which I try to draw attention. Why this is the case is a matter about which anyone outside of said administration can only speculate.
So, _if_ that is the case, then starting additional threads in /q/ would be pointless. Somebody (or maybe somebodies) among this site's administration just really doesn't want material I cover to be posted on this site.

ImageMagick's "convert" program can create images with text from text input.
To work around OCR-based detection and blocking I used additional steps. Providing specifics about what I did would be rather silly on a site where I'm using those tactics to evade censorship.

disagree because if all lainons could use the steno it would be even better

Embedding a file at least in a PNG isn't difficult. What I do first is check to see whether the image's size is a multiple of 1kb (1024 bytes). If it's not, then the image is padded to make it so by checking for the next nearest 1k multiple and padding with the difference. Then the embedded file is simply appended to the image.
When an image contains instructions with a dd offset, I may have to generate an image multiple times to ensure the offset documented is correct.

If I shared specifics then the administration might be able to account for what I'm doing and be able to successfully block my posts. I'm already in a metaphorical arms race with them: Why should I help them to block my material?

You should consider moving your topic to another chan. You can try to talk about another topic, but I would take what the mods were saying into consideration to avoid another conflict.

GOCR very easily detects the text in your images.
There's just some kind of problem with admin's OCR setup.
It would also be pretty easy to strip your embedded data from the end of PNG by stripping all data beyond the IEND tag:
function del_spam { end_addr=$(exiv2 -p R pr $1 | grep -Po "\d*(?= \| IEND)"); final_len=$((end_addr + 16)); truncate -s $final_len $1; }
This is very fast and does not affect the visual contents of any image.
If you want to be a super sekrit haxxor try embedding your data in tEXt or zTXt chunks, but it's also pretty easy to detect and wipe those with braindead bash-fu (at the expense of erasing certain metadata that nobody uses).
Lainchan is based on vichan though and I'd rather touch a dead rat than work on that codebase. Godspeed to anyone who tries.

I have done so and continue to do so. Lainchan isn't the only place where censorship is/was an issue.
> You can try to talk about another topic
I began by doing just that. Then I thought about discussing additional topics about which I'm concerned. That's when the censorship started, and the contribution of anything _on this site_ not relating to my "crusade" was put on ice.
> but I would take what the mods were saying into consideration to avoid another conflict.
I'll spend some time rereading archive snapshots of that and other threads. However, do keep in mind that ultimately this is not about me. Furthermore, I think the greatest problem is that too many people simply do not wish to think about many of the topics I've covered. I can reference numerous articles and studies covering that reticence relating to taboo, embarrassment, etc.

> If you want to be a super sekrit haxxor
I am not trying to be "a super sekrit haxxor." I am merely attempting to raise awareness of numerous important issues that are not being adequately addressed.
