Lainons, could you please recommend me some slower paced, realistic fiction books that are preferably not based on action, fighting and stuff? I used to read a lot a few years back but then I lost said habit.... I need to do something other than lurking the goddamn net.

Nice to see you stepping out from browsing the net too much. I can recommend Hopscotch, by Julio Cortázar.

Be warned that it may hit a bit close to home sometimes.

Kafka on the Shore
Earthsea series, probably not what you were thinking of but its very good, not really based around violence though there is some, and it's very easy to read, I ploughed through the entire series in two weeks while I was getting back into reading

Stoner, by John Williams
Death in Venice, by Thomas Mann
Oblivion, by Sergei Lebedev
The Eight Mountains, by Paulo Cognetti

I got a bit confused with the "realistic fiction" part, could you elaborate a bit? Closest thing that came to mind is Murakami's works like 1Q84, or maybe Danielewski's House of Leaves, but I am not sure I understood what you are really looking for.

This is exactly what got me back into reading. Its much easier to establish a reading habit when the books are short, fun, and simple

Samesies. It's not precisely "realistic" fiction, but what got me into reading again was Klara and the Sun, got it from a thread on this board. Short novel, light language, and not too heavy on the worldbuilding aspect of fiction, which I think is perfect to get into reading again.
