Non-destructive digitalizing

I loaned a book from a library that I want to digitalize quickly. The only equipment I have is a smartphone and a laptop. Any tips on how to go about doing that?

>>6702 To be honest I think you are going to have to use a good scanner for this. https://blog.plustek.com/2017/01/23/the-simple-way-to-digitize-books/

>>6702 a mount for the camera with remote camera trigger to prevent blur, a flat surface for the book, something to force the pages flat without obstructing the page too much - could be glass or plexiglass, something to keep the book in the same place, a light source that works with this setup. make sure to also photograph one empty page to calibrate the light with, and put the phone in manual exposure mode and take test photos before settling on a configuration for the batch.

My mother gave me a printer/scanner. I don't have any kind of glass panes to keep the pages flat, so I might go with the printer instead. Is there some software I can use to clean up the pages after scanning them?
