Does anyone know where I can find a scan of this book? The author purposely made it without an eBook version to prevent exactly what I'm trying to do. Any editions other than the most recent one are useless to me.

Thanks, I feel like that will help. I'm kind of hoping that some one on lainchan has a physical copy of the 7th edition and a scanner, lol.

His most recent one is on libgen. Search by author and you'll find it.

>I'm kind of hoping that some one on lainchan has a physical copy of the 7th edition and a scanner,
To scan a book requires either much work (e.g. opening the book to the appropriate page, accurately placing the open book on the scanner, closing the lid (which may require weighing down the lid (which requires finding something with which to weigh down the lid) or covering the scanner with something opaque (which requires finding something opaque with which to cover the scanner)), starting the scan (e.g. by pressing the appropriate button or executing the appropriate command (which may require such a command to be written)), waiting for the scan of that page to be ready, verifying the scan of that page (if it's erroneous (reconfiguring the scanning system) scanning that page again, or manually correcting the erroneous scan result), opening the lid, removing the book, if there is another page to scan: incrementing the page counter and repeating this whole process), or some work that may endanger the book (removing the pages from the binding, cleaning up the edges to prevent any page from becoming jammed in the scanner, stacking (in the appropriate order (which may require learning about which order is the appropriate order)) the pages into the scanner feed, starting the scanning, verifying the scan result, rescanning or manually correcting erroneous parts, replacing the book by rebinding it or buying another copy). In the former method, there is the cost of using the scanner, the cost of a slight decrease (due to creases in the binding) of the resale value of the book, and the cost of the (odious) labor of turning the pages between each scan. In the latter method, the labor is less odious and takes less time, but requires the likely destruction of the book or is specialist labor.
>lol.
I agree. It's hilarious that you, despite not describing any remuneration, requested someone do some labor for you.

So is this where the NATO propagandists from Bellingcat learned how to do "journalism"?

Holy shıt dude... there is no need to make everything so autistically complicated. Just position a cheap a smartphone/camera above the book and start taking photos. This isn't like scanning fine art or something, the text just needs to be at least legible, that's it.

I've gone through this process. Even for a short book, it's very annoying. It helps to do it in short intervals. Do a chapter or two at a time.
