The All-Embracing Library

Donna Hawthorne · 2019-01-10 07:58
Size 177.96GB. I dare to say contains among the best books of their fields and are supposed not to repeat. It is a extremely well ordered collection by topic, and if you compare the size you soon see its value. Topics range from mathematics, physics, psychology, self improvement, survivalism, the best science fiction and fantasy literature, comics, magazines, and more. Magazines takes about 75 GB and there are many youtube videos, documentaries and conferences so you can exclude these if you want to. All books combined takes about 40 GB or so. But i really recommend downloading other stuff too since you can't really find it somewhere else easily. Did I mention is well sorted and contains only the best books? magnet:?xt=urn:btih:488eb9134190440bbf1e77929754321c85a24c72&dn=The+All-Embracing+Library&tr=udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80&tr=udp://open.demonii.com:1337 It has only one seeder left right now. Used to be many more months ago. Would you kindly share this torrent on places like demonoid, piratebay and other imageboards too? That would be good.

>>2968 OP is a pretty cool guy. Mind posting the file directory since we can't download the metadata?

Masami Eiri · 2019-01-10 19:15
if y'all have the free space as well, consider seeding chunks of libgen. They're about 8G and its important to keep them seeded so that its always possible to recover the library if necessary. http://gen.lib.rus.ec/repository_torrent/
Apoc · 2019-01-11 06:03
>>2969 >Mind posting the file directory since we can't download the metadata? Is it because of the client? If so i recommend qbittorrent. There is way too much subfolders but main directory looks like this.
Spooky · 2019-01-12 15:41
>>2973 Thanks, it seems qbittorrent was the problem actually (again). The fuarrrking thing is allergic to peers. It's so bad at connecting to other seeders that I have to use Deluge alongside it for less popular torrents (I can't entirely forsake qbittorrent's search engine and better UI). I opened it with Deluge and it loads just fine now.
Lunch · 2019-01-21 02:23
>>2968 Is the torrent dead? I can't seem to start it. Getting errors all over the place ("Host not found" and "Operation cancelled").
Leto Atreides I · 2019-01-21 03:06
>>2995 Got it to work on Deluge like >>2977 , probably a problem with the file size. Will seed at least to 2.0

>>2995 I'm still actively seeding
Nguoi La · 2019-01-21 04:01
math section is really lacking. >no Dummit & Foote >no topology at all Also there's not even any CS books. I'm not really specialized in anything else so I can't speak to the quality of the rest of the academic selection, everything else is very nice and well organized.
Judge Fang · 2019-01-21 12:04
>>2998 There are too many shallow (sometimes false) youtube videos, inspirational quotes and graphics, even a graph that says the other ones are lies; the Anime and Manga folder is underwhelming, Chemestry is lacking and Biology is ok. Honestly, without Magazines, Establishment and Anime/Manga, the whole thing is 67.06 gb which is not that much for most. I have 36 gb of it right now and believe most will have around this much after cleaning, so i'd say this is ok because many things might spark a newfound interest. Of course this is hoarders paradise too.
Lady 3Jane.. · 2019-02-26 18:40
I downloaded this like a month ago and I gotta say I'm amazed by the selection, tho I think the size is way too panned by bullsoykaf instead of being purely books. There's the whole season of the 2003 version of FullMetal Alchemist, which I'm glad for, but doesn't belong there. The first animation ever done by gainax is amazing to have tho. That aside, great collection.

Anyone mind uploading the biology section to mega?

Anyway, here's the whole biology section from the library. https://mega.nz/#!C9IGwSxR!R-SHLQahJRIVztGLWQ78XAe3QN7OKBcONuuHIt3pO7c I also set an old server to seed the magnet so hopefully more anons can download it.

>>3230 I'm not the poster you quoted but I find epubs more comfy for selecting different fonts and text wrapping alone. I'm not sure if this can be done with pdfs but so far I have not found a way to do it.

>>3232 a lot of these are scans. djvu is the best format for scans, scanned pdf's are literally just paginated jpeg images

How long will this be seeded for? I would love to download it but I’m going to be away from my computer 1-2 months.
Nobody special · 2019-06-28 18:59
I wish to download it. Is their anything illegal in it? I live in a Western country.
Agent Smith · 2019-06-28 19:02
>>3386 Technically speaking ebook storage and distribution that you didn't acquire legally is ilegal, so there's that. Also there's a DIY section with some gun building stuff and an anarchist section with a lot of info so that may count as ilegal depending on where you live
Jim Hilger · 2019-06-28 21:04
>>3387 It has zero seeders.
Ishikura "Tatsu" Tatsuhiko · 2019-06-30 06:05
Be warned there are duplicates in this collection and some of these books are obsolete. I suggest downloading only topics that interest (you) and checking their respective directories first to see what you're actually downloading. Overall neat collection. >>2998 There are actually a lot of CS books in the /INFORMATICS directory. >>3391 No it doesn't. I'm currently downloading it. It has 8 seeders and 2 leechers (one of them being me).

>>4362 I don't know what kinda version this thread has, I've gotten part of the the one over at 4chan couple months back which is well over 500Gb. Am still seeding, but only gotten 180Gb of it, if you want I can give you my magnet but it's also on (you might want to add some trackers so it actually downloads and it'll still take a few days/weeks) https://boards.4chan.org/t/thread/874479 In my opinion the library isn't really worth it, much of the information in it just straight up is like kicking dead whales down the beach, like the "flame thrower" or some of the infographics, but it's up to you
Unnamed · 2020-03-18 13:33
>>4368 correction, "only gotten 180Gb of it" as in deliberatly choosing folders, not as in only that much available

I started my own library some years ago, and now have about 12 GB of the best books i could find. They're selected to facilitate the growth of a decimated populace starting from stone age hunter-gatherer level all the way through to basic modern language, living skills, science, technology, and social organization.

We need experts in so many fields to turn the fuarrrk around and help develop a simple book-based pedagogy to help spark the ability to go more interactive on the world's ass.
