Transhumanism and Psychadellia

I did not see a proper thread for this in the catalog. Certainly a nice mix, Psychadellia AND Transhumanism, don't ya think? I bring you two PDFs, both by Dr. Timothy Leary, PhD. The first book, "Exo-Psychology" was written while he was in Prison for Socretian Crimes. In it, He proposes a new outlook for an 8-Stage of mental evolution, beginning from the Pre-Amphibian and ending with the merging of Consciousness into the Nuclear-structure of the Universe. This 8-Stage model is further divided into 24 sub-stages, following the basic pattern of "Discover, Learn, Master" (Which is also like Infantile Interaction, Basic understanding to general use, knowing not only how it works, but being able to manipulate it.) [NOTE: I am unable to find the works Dr. Leary refers to within the work, esp. "The 8-Calibre Brain" and "The Periodic Table of Evolution". If someone has these works, it would be greatly appreciated.) The second book is a revision on Exo-psychology, called Info-Psychology. Written ten years later, in 1987, Dr. Leary feels the need to revise the theory with the rise of the Cyber World. Forseeing a merge of the Human with the Technological, he changes his primary argument of Space Migration being the next-goal for collective humanity, and rather forsees the shared cyber hallucination as being the next step to Gonosis. A large majority of Timothy Leary's works have been brought to the Public Domain by his estate in 2009. A good portion of them are available in the Internet Archive.

I wanted to bump this since there's no reply yet. I wanted to discuss these books but a week later, no reply and page 2

>>2807 Hey lainon, these works have piqued my interest. Should I read Exo-psychology first ? Does Info-psychology contain all the materials in the first book ?

Terence McKenna made a case for something similar happening in prehistory, that civilisation began when apes ate psychoactive fungi and it triggered consciousness.

>>2843 I read Exo-Psychology first. These serve as the foundation for Dr. Leary's later beliefs, especially in the late-80's when he began to believe that the Computer Revolution was the next stage in human evolution. I admire Dr. Leary very much, even in his earlier works. Hunter Thompson's critique is based on nothing more than a simple misunderstanding, and I forgive him. Timothy Leary's Dead is a great documentary, btw (and also a great song).

Buckminster Fuller used to say that humankind needed to make a paradigm shift to thrive in space. He talked about changing "sunrise" and "sunset" to "sunsight" and "sunclipse", "worldwide" to "worldaround", and "up" and "down" to "in" and "out".
