Let's give each other some riddles to solve. I wrote this one for a forum I found, but it turns out the last post was from 2008 so I decided not to waste it.
>The maiden declares war with the fish. Her birthday is 18/04/1710
>The fish loves his scales. His birthday is 19/02/1407
>The scales choke a goat. Their birthday is 17/09/1108
>The goats body was cast into the sea by some twins. What was his birthday?
>The twins birthdays are on the 8th of may. What's their favourite film?
Remember to spoiler any answers.

There's not 17, 18, nor 19 months in the year.
Goat's birthday: 19/09/1108 You gave it to use
Favourite Movie: None, movies had not been invented yet.

This is a good riddle, OP, I'm intrigued. The thing about homespun riddles (in my experience) is that it's often hard to make sure they're Goldilocks-difficulty (not too easy nor ridiculously difficult).

DD/MM/YYYY is a pretty common way of formatting the date, mate.

Hmm, thats a damn good riddle.

17/09/1108 is the birthday of the scales. Conceptially dumb I know, just roll with it. Also, the year of the twins birth isn't actually stated. Could be the 8th of may 17'776 for all we know.

Hey, thanks. I think ridiculous difficulty in riddles can often be attributed to tham being vague and arbitrary, so I've tried with this one to make a definite logical path to solving it. Good luck!
