The most underground and cruel/disgusting books

Eldon Tyrell · 2024-09-15 11:07
The most underground and cruel/disgusting books /thread/ IMHO, such books: The blood meridian, all books Ryu Murakami, Tropic of cancer And what can you recommend?

Peter Soto's pornographic writings are as out there as you can get. Its much better than De Sade but less famous. There's a whole host of disturbing taboo visual novels (if you consider that literature) and no shortage of hentai. Even the most vanilla family lo li/sh ota content would be considered extreme and taboo in the West. The current leader of Hamas wrote a novel and there's always jihadi poetry, which isn't as dark as you'd think but that's what makes it disturbing in a way. Bin Laden's poems are a bit uncomfortable to read. I remember reading this diary of a right wing extremist pro-apartheid volunteer in some African conflict, his diary entries recounting how the war slowly drove him insane and he becomes more and more unhinged and incoherent. I've forgotten the name. I'd also recommend Primo Levi's accounts of the Holocaust and of course Kafka never gets old no matter how mainstream he is.

The Old Testament. The New Testament. The Koran. Abraham ruined Western civilization. If there's ever a real Terminator, he should be the first target.

>>10318 >>10317 And never was there a more pellucid example of media reflecting humanity's most novel prowess: Lies, deceit, and the fantastic narcissistic idiocy necessary to believe you're gods goodest, bestest, most chosenest main character on the planet. >Jesus died for ME, after all, that's how I know that I'm the main character, not him or god. Me. Meeeeeeeee.

>>10319 we are going off-topic so fuarrrkin fast but here is how every christian i've ever met interprets the message: 1) i am a lowly nobody nothing sinner 2) jesus, the big awesome guy in the sky, died for ME 3) jesus is goddamn awesome, and i owe him everything. time to spread the faith by telling people how great he is. >cruel/nasty books can try reading a torah with commentary, watching orthies kvetch their way out of ANY responsibility is pretty painful also Filth by Irvine Welsh
Neo · 2024-09-23 04:41
>>10320 That's generally how religious groups deal with problems - when Christians see problems like Jesus praying to God despite apparently being one with him, or Judas' two contrasting deaths, or when Muslims deal with Muhammed being a pedophile but also a universal moral example, out come the excuses and such. I don't think there's a religion alive that doesn't have to deal with this.

>Last Night Document of the 9/11 Hijackers A document circulated among the 9/11 hijackers the night before their mission, recovered from their luggage and flight wreckage. It was pretty creepy. I've seen it called a "last testament" but its basically a pep talk full of prayers, motivational stuff. Most of it is guidance to get the hijackers over their fear of death and guiding them on how to mentally prepare for every step of their attack, from the time they get into the taxi cab to seconds before they ram into the towers. On the one hand, its banal, full of reminders to shave and wear cologne, but the author also anticipates moments of doubt and hesitation, like meeting at the airport or boarding the plane, and providing prayers and reassurance to help them get over it. If the mainstream media wanted us to believe these people were unhinged fanatics, this document suggests otherwise. They were just regular guys. They must have been terrified when they got onto those planes but went ahead with it anyway and that's disturbing. >>10317 Most retarded post ITT none of those books are controversial or underground, except for the Quran which is only controversial among yanks because politics. >>10341 The real problem are people's religious values contradicting a secular liberal moralistic worldview. A worldview that is no less moralistic and dogmatic than any religion, but which modern secular people are incapable of seriously interrogating because they blindly accept it as normative, true, and correct. Religious people are right to point out that secular liberal humanists have committed far worse atrocities and the ethical implications of their dogmatic moralism is often far more brutal and destructive than any Jewish or Christian zealot could have come up with. I think this was De Sade's whole point.

>>10374 And what is atheism/secularism but another religion, another dogma with its own theology and self-aggrandizing masturbatory narratives? Freedom from religion ironically meant enslavement to a secular materialist worldview that's metaphysical and moral claims can never be challenged or criticized, a common sense truth enforced by authority. And what are you doing pushing Redditor level atheism in a thread dedicated to underground and disturbing lit? There's nothing underground or disturbing about anti-religious sophistry. There are no atheists in Guantanamo.

>>10306 Pretty much anything published by Apocalypse Party. BR Yeager and Porpentine are fun. From an interview with Porpentine: >What better legacy could anyone have than to screw up the clits, dicks, macroclitorides, etc., of random strangers and give them embarrassing fetishes for life? I write for the tastes considered juvenile or embarrassing. Chuunicore. I want to make the world’s best hamburger, and I want it to give you the world’s best food poisoning, and it’s not a hamburger, it’s your arm. https://xrafstar.monster/ I have an existential crisis every time I finish a BR Yeager novel. Amygdalatropolis is practically a mirror when read by the average chan user. I've never thought "He's literally me" in a worse way. Negative Space is good too. Autism, self harm, gas station drug abuse, blood magic and mass suicide with a dash of cosmic horror following three teenagers in New Hampshire. >“He’s fuarrrking creepy.” “He isn’t creepy, dude. He’s like, autistic, but he isn’t creepy.” “Autists are fuarrrking creepy.” “Dude,” Tyler broke in. “Autists are fuarrrking wizards.” We all laughed. The pot and the cold air were putting us in a good place. Life didn’t seem like Hell. Then Marlon hushed us. For older pre web stuff I'd recommend Closer by Dennis Cooper, The Songs of Maldoror by Comte De Lautremont and Naked Lunch by Burroughs.
