I recently started a linux basics course in school and decided to begin copying the whole thing. I added some comments here and there, replaced some pictures with text and made the document more... document-like (It's an online-click-through-slideshow-thing originally). Is anybody interested in me continuing this? I know a lot more about GNU/Linux than the course offers, so i have plenty of time on my hands to keep rewriting it.

>>898 I am, definitely. I just began using linux and something commentated and more informal than the documentation you usually find online would be great!

>>933 >>939 Ok, I'll update every other week or so. The course consists of 16 chapters i think. writing the console environments will take some time though

>>947 >>946 Do you guys know some LaTeX? I found some time to write down another few chapters, but i had to redesign the console things. the current version compiles not as wanted and Im not sure how to fix it yet. It may take a while to figure it out; heres the link to the uncompiled version: https://pastebin.com/imP94SRk

>I know a lot more about GNU/Linux than the course offers, so i have plenty of time on my hands to keep rewriting it. Maybe you could contribute to this free manual instead? http://write.flossmanuals.net/command-line/introduction/ It is far better that this proprietary soykaf from Cisco.

>>1069 The guy that did this three years ago here. Yes. Well, actually no, but the course ended before I could take a copy of the whole thing. Also the terminal stuff was a pain in the ass to typeset and the course itself was getting so soykafty that I started to think it might be easier to just re-write the whole thing. Anyways, this'll have to do. Sorry for not continuing. >>4718 This isn't a userspace documentation though, is it? >>4725 It probably is. Truth be told, I was just bored as hell, sitting there searching for something to do with my time. So i though hey, why not learn LaTeX and also give something to the lainons while I'm at it?
