There's been some great success with requests in the lit file thread, so I thought I'd start a thread for requests for books we're having a hard time finding. Anyway, here's my bucket list. "Popular Evolution", by Dr. Joe Popp "Dragon's Fists", by Joe Dennis "Black Samurai", by Marc Olden "The Recent History of Ghastly's Ghastly Comic", volumes one and two Michael D. Echanis' books, "Knife Self-Defense for Combat", "Basic Stick Fighting for Combat", and "Knife Fighting, Knife Throwing for Combat" George B. Wallace's "Stick Fighting For Self Defense", "Knife Fighting Art of Self-defence & Sport" and "The Yawara Stick For Self Defense". The Marshall Law novellas, "The Day Of The Dead", "Cloak Of Evil", and "Origins", by Pat Mills The novelization of Phantasm by Kate Coscarelli The translated Dirty Pair light novels by Haruka Takachiho. The Shadow Warrior novels, "For Dead Eyes Only", by Dean Wesley Smith, and "You Only Die Twice", by Ryan Hughes "Secret Fighting Arts Of The Warrior Race", by HetaQ "Burn This Book", by Dan Hoff "The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle (a.k.a. Gold Diggers of '77)", by Michael Moorcock Both of John Russo's Return Of The Living Dead novels, the one the film was based on, and the novelization of the film. "Cooking With Coca-Cola", the 1979 booklet from the Coca-Cola company. "Wanted: 22 Alien Criminals Wanted by the Intergalactic Security Bureau", by Eric Seidman.

How to Argue with a Racist - Rutherford
Dr. X · 2024-07-16 13:17
>>10154 >emotionally driven responses that reject the golden age of genetic understanding that we are going to, while also loosely acknowledging it at the same time. It barely talks about genetics in any meaningful way. Nothing about genetic factors impacting behavior (MAO-A), IQ inheritance, avoids Haplogroups entirely. This book champions science, but then proceeds to accept only one of several notworthy hypotheses of origin (You already know it's OOA - Which was speculation when it was created and discredited in the 1980's and dozens of times afterwards well into the 2010's) - He makes dishonest statements about "equality" -- When the true goal is "equity." What is the difference? Equity is equal outcome. Equality is equal opportunity. Once equal opportunity was found to not work, the goal post was moved to equal outcome. This book doesn't achieve what it's trying to achieve. Most of it is a caricature of a racist more than anything else while pretending that "The Science" is merely being misused/misunderstood and heavy-hitting reality denial statements like "the racists are denying reality" and then proceeds to rip into the guy who literally discovered the double helix structure and claims he is a "racist" but fails to prove why. 0.5/5 - 117 page waste of time, even if you're anti-racist: You already know how to argue in this manner, go read some actual theory instead.

I remember a quote of one german mathematician remarking that their mathematics institute died with the departure of jews. I guess it was David Hilbert, it's mentioned in a wikipedia article on him. I guess one could say that they make significant contributions because they are unfairly placed in faculty positions, but then how can their disproportionate contributions be explained? That requires intelligence. Maybe someone else in their position could have also solved the problems they solve, and develop the theories they develop, in which case there is a question of the speed at which this work can be done. The white nationalists usually reconcile their superiority by saying jews have better verbal intelligence, allowing them to manipulate people easier.

>>1728 There was a passage in a recent book I had read where Lamarckianism and Darwinism was being discussed, and where it was suggested that there has been only a few attempts to reconcile the two schools/frameworks: one by H. G. Cannon and another by Ernst Haeckel. They list for Cannon a book titled Lamarck and Modern Genetics where such an attempt was made, but give no name for works by Haeckel where this conceptual synthesis had been developed. Does anyone have suggestions on in which book(s) Haeckel might've discussed such matters, and where could I find 'em? I know Cannon's work is sold on Amazon, but obviously I'm not gonna spend upwards of hundred bucks to have it sent to me, so if anyone knows of a free repository for that one, I'd appreciate it, even though Haeckel piqued my interest more. To give context, here's the passage from the book where this was discussed: "Is it possible to reconcile Lamarckianism and Darwinism? In 1959, H. G. Cannon, a professor of zoology, published Lamarck and Modern Genetics. He opposed the view, now championed most vociferously by Richard Dawkins, that organisms are like mechanical objects undergoing random and blind changes in mechanical parts. Design, for Dawkins, is performed by a “blind watchmaker”. Cannon sought to defend the active powers of adaptation that he thought were intrinsic to living organisms. He considered the inheritance of acquired characteristics an obvious means by which organisms could “intelligently” enhance their responsiveness to the environment. An earlier thinker, Ernst Haeckel, also tried to effect a synthesis of Lamarck and Darwin’s ideas and he was led to a radical position where he proposed that there are no absolute differences between organic and inorganic substances. Such a view is consistent with Illuminism whereby the whole universe is alive and evolving, the difference between the inorganic and organic being one of the qualities of mental activity. The most elementary substances are unconscious and more or less indistinguishable from mechanisms. Plants have more mental activity than crystals, animals more than plants, and humans more than animals. All entities exist on a continuum of mental activity, and it’s not until humanity is reached that consciousness emerges from unconscious and purely instinctual behaviour."

>>10446 I tried bullying AI into answering your question and this is what it said: "For Ernst Haeckel, his works that delve into evolutionary biology and his attempts to merge Lamarckian and Darwinian concepts can be found in several of his major publications. Some notable books where Haeckel discussed these ideas include: "Generelle Morphologie der Organismen" (General Morphology of Organisms) - This work is where Haeckel laid out his ideas on the relationship between ontogeny (development of an individual) and phylogeny (evolutionary development of a species). "Natürliche Schöpfungsgeschichte" (The Natural History of Creation) - In this book, Haeckel elaborates on his evolutionary theories and attempts to reconcile Lamarckian and Darwinian ideas. "Anthropogenie oder Entwicklungsgeschichte des Menschen" (Anthropogeny, or the Evolutionary History of Man) - This book discusses human evolution and Haeckel's views on the inheritance of acquired characteristics." Bear in mind that this AI lies a lot, like, A LOT, and specifically likes to attribute the specifics that I ask for to random things to try and fob me off, so take this with a pinch of salt.

And don't worry about the AI lying, since shifting the lies from the truth is just part of the research process, and here the guesstimation provided by the AI seems to have paid off by leading me to material which looks promising. Especially in The History of Creation I found this section (pic related) wherein Haeckel specifically states not seeing any unbridgeable differences between organic and inorganic substances, and earlier in the book he critiques both Lamarck and Darwin, and boils the debate down to the two schools of adaptation versus inheritance, respectively. He also provided a citation to his earlier work General Morphology of Organisms, which happens to have a German edition on Internet Archive: https://archive.org/details/bub_gb_wghbAAAAQAAJ/page/n3/mode/2up . Speaking of self-defense, I'm not too hopeful anon can help here but I've been trying to no avail for some time to get my hands on the Neptune Publications translation of Karate-do Kyohan by Gichin Funakoshi. The older translations took some "liberties" that ended up obscuring some very important aspects of Karate history. Supposedly the Neptune Publications version is a more neutral translation that doesn't feel the need to supplant things with junk from modern 3K Karate.
Yet Another Lainon · 2025-06-17 04:30
>>11465 No, it's a translation done by a professional translator that's more faithful to the original writings. The other English "translations" were done by karate enthusiasts first, who felt the need to insert their own influences from contemporary karate. So for example photos of Funakoshi doing various things were replaced by modern karateka, and it's missing things like Funakoshi citing kata for traditional karate throws. At least, that's what I've heard about it. I need to see it for myself so I can use it as evidence against people who think karate is traditionally purely a striking discipline.

I'm looking for what appears to be an extremely obscure book by an extremely obscure author: "Flowers of the aftermath", by a "Helen Butler Wells", published in 1943. The reason? some Lainon 20+ years ago really seemed to like this book, so i need to read it. I can't contact this person nor i know their whereabouts, sadly. I do have a couple excerpts from the book, which i'll now share: ## Excerpt n°1: ## The beach was empty cold gusts came up off the water stinging her face Stiffly she lifted herself up from the crusty sand a sticky, empty bed dizzy from the sudden change The suns flickering glare spattered on the dark waves evening spilled onto the shore staining the water and sand Out past the waves in the deep green folds beyond the rock and weed something churned with anger it stirred in its frustration Trickles of foam and brine lapped eagerly at her feet hatefully wanting to bite and take her back to sea shivering and scared, she kicked at the sand heart pounding within her the sandy grit stuck to her tears and hair. pinching her lip with her teeth; she glared out to the angry tide: Thunder and wind slapped back at her face; she had escaped the thirsty sea held its beast back in defeat, for now. ## Excerpt n°2: ## the metal claw gripped her skull as the electonic eye probed hers the machine was curious she was his specimen the metal thing processed her movements, her senseless sounds holding her fast with its hydraulic arm frantic, she pulled trying to free her head from his grasp " right claw : tighten 10%" somewhere inside her head she heard a soft crack her nose released red watery blood terrified she let her hands fall limp

I would be exceptionally grateful if someone could share a digital copy of Koo Schadler's Egg Tempera Painting, A Comprehensive Guide. I could not find it anywhere, and at this point I'd buy it from Amazon and share it, but I have no idea how to rip an ebook ever since they disabled local downloads a while back.
