Things you've written.

Seeing as we got another thread discussing how to write, I figure we might as well have one concerning what we write. Guess we can link thru ghostbin or something, for the sake of clean mobile viewing, lazy scrolling, etc? I'll probably link a lil short of my own in a couple hours, after I get off work. Critique and criticisms are always welcome! And happy writing!

Ok, there was a thread about this that I promised I would post to. Initialization routine: booting primary functions. . . emulation now running t = 0.001 ... 0.002 ... 0.003 ... scanning room A bright spot pierces the darkness. Then a line. Images begin to pour into my mind. First the sand below me dancing in waves. Then, further away I see a burning vehicle. -Remember your primary function, a broken voice out of the smoke. I close my eyes. I make the map go away into a puff of voxels. I'm really confused, this doesn't make sense. Did we really go through with the procedure? Then in a moment I'm not confused anymore. I sit on the sand. The dance has a spectator once more. There is a light here. Light this dark night. Burning are the cities. The fields are moving in. Burning. The earth begins to move. Breathing new life.

Even if we accept that Burroughs is good and that this work is in the line of Burroughs, what could be gained from submitting this, what questions did the writer have for the critique group/professor. What could possibly be gained outside of everyone wasting their time? Submitting short stories for a writing course is about more than just getting the grade (not that I imagine this getting a passing grade even at a highschool or cc course).

Wrote this last summer. Had met a new friend through the Net, when to check out his mag. Used to lived in Chiba city for 3 years and we talked about my experience, brought a Super Famicom as a token of good will and we played that, bullsoykafed about Gibson, Shadowrun, art and politics, while I got drunk. Anyway, I went home, still drinking with no sleep, and started a mind dump into my phone, plugged in some Moritaka Chisato and ZARD, headed back to meet him, still drinking, and shat out the last little bit. He liked it so much that he published it. Should have some more stuff coming out that I'm working on called "Ore wa Ookami-otoko" basically "I'm (masculine form) a werewolf" about my experience spending long nights in the red light and downtown areas of Chiba city (Sakae-cho, Fujimi-cho, Chuo-ku, Hon-chiba) drunk as a skunk and dragging my meatbag wherever I pleased to.
