>>952 You mean the PSX release? That has been fan-ported and translated into a webgame called laingame.net, so you can try it there if thats what you mean.

>>955 the web version also fixes problems with the framerate on the original version being awful

>>952 It's also a different story. You have to understand that the "Serial" in SEL is supposed to mean different mediums that SEL was to be viewed. Each one was supposed to be a different story, or rahter "experiment" dealing with the character Lain. The overall themes would be the same but the variables would be different, so as to witness the different outcomes.

I recommend giving it a try. It's more of a weird visual novel than a game. It's a bit slow to menu through, but i easily got myself into it because of how everything is presented. When you feel like it, Do take breaks! it's alot of reading. I had to stop a few times to not overwhelm myself and process the story so far. i personally love it :)

The way you type makes me angry.

>You have to understand that the "Serial" in SEL is supposed to mean different mediums that SEL was to be viewed. Then shouldn't it be called "Parallel" Experiments Lain instead?

>>1066 Eevery layer is numbered yet a chronological series is present. Still, every layer has its own theme... AH! The game! I think the game has a sequence of events to reconstruct. By the way, there is a nice ReWired mod to make graphics better.

>>955 The game feels like it could have been a story of a lonely computer imagining own past. Cute to play with, actually.
