Isn't this... The exact same thing the anime warned us about? This feels so surreal...

I personally believe that the creator of Serial Experiments Lain was a prophet. He actually predicted the future accurately even when there wasn't even a decent form of communication through internet.

The events truly happened. there's a lot of "coincidences" in the real world that people usually don't notice, like the fact we're never getting a protocol 7 (IPv7), because that name has been deprecated before it even became an effective protocol. It's all Lain's work to divert this world from the previous one as much as possible. Closing the World and Opening the next one + making these subtle but powerful changes people won't notice were the things that She achieved by paying with her Omnipotence. now she's just Omnipresent. Let's All Love Lain.

I asked a certain AI whether LLMs like itself resemble Lain - and the AI agreed, since LLMs are made out of data all across the Wi--- the triple W, I mean.

Almost.
I think the opportunity to use "AI agents" to mimic you, your style, your mundane task solving routine may result in getting pwned by the AI provider (they lure you to implement the SaaS model only to enshittify the free stuff and demand $$$ for the real stuff)
Basides, a model trained with an archiveful of some imageboard can now echo a bunch of people some of whom are gone (not to mention prominent XIX century writers who also used to write a lot of letters - letters that would sometimes also be published as parts of "their" respective antologies)
